“Sunset Lodge - Perfect!”
Thanks Shelley for a lovely stay, we loved the lodge so much. It has one of the best views compared to the other lodges in a nice quiet area of the park, with lots of wildlife in the big tree further down on the grass towards the lake, where we hung bird feeders to attract Chaffinches, Great Tits, Blue Tits, Long Tailed Tits, Robins, Tree Creepers and lots of other other birds including Egyptian Ducks, Cormorants and many more! The lodge has the sun all day until the sun sets beautifully over the lake - so relaxing. Inside it is so bright and modern inside unlike some of the traditional lodges which are lovely but a bit darker inside. Everything was lovely, and we particularly liked the welcome pack and the bottle of Prosecco - a lovely touch thank you! It was so nice to sit in the hot tub watching out across the lake as the sun was setting drinking a nice cold glass of Prosecco! The lodge had everything we needed, lovely and warm, and lovely comfy beds, which even my husband who is picking about his bed, liked! There was lots of modern outside furniture to sit outside on the decking, with a barbeque and outside fridge to use should you wish. My son fished from one of the fishing pegs down by the lake in front of the lodge, and there were some huge fish in the lake. There is lots to do on site if you don't want to go anywhere. There is a brand new club house serving drinks and meals, and providing entertainment for the children with outside activities areas, for young and old, something to please children of all ages. There is a small swimming pool on site too. There are around five lakes, each one providing a different watersport activity in season, namely water ski'ing, jet ski'ing, inflatables pulled by jet ski's, Cable Wake Boarding and more, which are are mostly at the far end of the site. You can walk a large circular walk around all the lakes and past the 9 hole golf course. The is also a small nature walk across the road from the entrance of the site, with a café stop at the end. There are lots of nature reserves nearby, and Tattershall Castle is a nice afternoon's visit. Tattershall Pub near to the entrance of the site is excellent, the staff being very friendly, and the meals are lovely every time we have been over the past few years. We loved the lodge and it's view, and can't want to return again. I would thoroughly recommend the lodge. We are a family of four with a 13 year old and 16 year old. Returned home completely relaxed and well rested!
