  • "It was just perfect we are wanting to book again but for longer."

We were supposed to fly out on holiday so this helped to soften the blow. We had everything we needed in the lodge and it was so relaxing

  • "There were cobwebs in the bedroom."

The microwave had crumbs in it and the fridge wasn't clean. I would recommend a comfier sofa and chairs for the living room. Everything else was as expected. I think it is a shame however that dogs are not allowed to be left in the lodge as this makes it very difficult if you want to go out for a few hours for a meal etc. Overall though we had a nice time. Having the hot tub balanced out any issues we had with the property.

Electrical socket was loose and could cause some damage in our bedroom. We thought we were going to Birkdale Lodge but we landed in Belfry Lodge, which had a hot tub. Otherwise very good

  • "On arrival Birkdale Lodge was not available, we had to phone the maintenance man to advise us that we were the next door lodge, which was supposed to be an upgrade."

The pots and pans had to be washed before we could use them, as they were not clean. Under the pouffes, there was rubbish, they had not been moved and cleaned underneath. On opening the refrigerator the bottom wooden piece came off, but went back on. The towels in the ensuite bathroom were not fresh, they smelt of chlorine, so could not be used. The hot tub on the first day we went to use it, was not working properly, no jets, didnt stay on. We called the very helpful maintenance man, who came over, and then fixed it the next day for us to be able to use. We had neighbours, who set off fireworks beside our lodge, after having a barbecue, and nearly causing a fire. We were advised to keep our dog on a lead at all times, but it seems the owners of one of the lodges does not have to apply to this, his two dogs kept running around off lead and running straight at other dogs, causing stress for them. We have stayed in lodges before and found this experience a basic one, there was little information on appliances, on things to do in the area, We would not recommend this lodge park or this holiday to anyone.

There was a couple of minor problems, which were sorted by the staff immediately, which was good. A dishwasher would have been nice instead of a washing machine, which we didn't use, but that was just our preference. We enjoyed our stay.

From arriving to leaving today everything was just fab! We arrived and were let into the ground straight away, we found our lodge, unloaded the car and made ourselves at home right away! We were thoroughly impressed with the lodge itself, the kitchen space was great, living room space was lovely and relaxing, the beds were made up ready and were comfy to sleep on and the hot tub being outside the door is fantastic! We spent most of our time in the hot tub and it was just perfection! Winters evening, clear sky, stars out just sitting in a hot tub relaxing! That’s what we wanted and that’s what we got! We would be more than happy to go back again next year! The dog also loved the space and the lodge! Thank you for a great stay ❤️

Greeted and told everything was ready. Wasn’t hard to check in or out. Lovely clean lodge and amazing hot tub. Dvds were left and towels so these were nice extras. Nice duvets on the beds and generally a lovely place to stay. Perfect to stay in with a dog. Ordered a Chinese one night from jade garden and this was lovely too. We also pre ordered a Sainsbury’s delivery so we were all set. Would recommended this place to anyone. Would love to go back :-)

Although this was technically correct, the route was not one that was safe to do by foot. There were no footpaths or street lighting. Hence a stroll to the local was not advisable.

They caught loads during the week. I loved he hot tub. It was also nice a relaxing for my 2 dogs. The only thing the park could do with is maybe a little wooden play area for kids. It was abit windy while we were they but also very warm,so we had the winds open a lot. Maybe curtainsor roller blinds would be better than the blinds that were in the cabin as they were getting blown everywhere. The groundsman on the site was really friendly and helpful when we asked questions about nice places to visit. So overall we had a lovely time nice and peaceful and relaxing. So thankyou

Detached lodges allowing for privacy. Lodge spacious and windows letting in wonderful natural light. I would add that Birkdale Lodge 3 is pet friendly, however decking and wooden bench on it a little in need of attention. Bench probably needs replacing. Only way of cleaning was an old broom, a mop and bucket fine. Justin who works at Thorpe Park Lodges is the most helpful person, attending to any issues keeping the grounds in good order and providing location information that i followed up and had a good day. Well done Justin
