  • “The house was amazing.”

Myself and my family had the best time. We couldn't believe how big the pool area was and we loved the jacuzzi. Everything exceeded our expectations and would highly recommend this beautiful house. The owner was so welcoming and helpful. A fantastic weekend

The property

Lincoln 4 miles.

The Retreat is a beautifully-appointed property, covering over 2000 square feet across three levels and offering a taste of luxury including the opulent and indulgent leisure suite complete with an indoor heated 42ft swimming pool, hydro-spa and yoga mats which are available for your exclusive daily use at set times of the day.

This stunning holiday home apartment was included in the Independent’s Best Holiday Cottages With Pools and is set over three floors making it ideal for those who want to surround themselves with luxury.

There is a lovely open plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and sitting area; this is the ideal area for preparing meals and relaxing over dinner whilst discussing what adventures are still to come on your fun-filled holiday.

The games room is sure to please everyone in your group, particularly the younger members who will love playing games of table football and table tennis.

Guests can step through the door into the pool room and feel that they could be in any 5 star hotel in the world, except there are no other guests!

After a busy day exploring this wonderful area, you will love retiring to one of the four comfortable bedrooms for a restful night’s sleep on premium 300 thread count 100% Egyptian cotton sheets.

The attractions of the historic city of Lincoln are just four miles away and following a fascinating day out in Lincoln, where history and independent boutiques line ancient cobbled streets, you will love returning to The Retreat for a relaxing evening.

Lincoln offers attractions throughout the year for all the family from music festivals, historic trail events, sausage festivals to Christmas markets.

There are theatres including the 19th century Lincoln Theatre Royal and Bailgate offers a unique shopping experience within one of the most historic parts of the Cathedral Quarter.

The quirky streets provide a fascinating insight into how life once was.

Nowadays the Quarter offers many specialist shops for lovers of clothes, books, gifts and not forgetting foodies with an abundance of tea rooms and restaurants.

Lincoln Cathedral is one of Europe's finest Gothic buildings and was once described by Victorian writer John Ruskin as "out and out the most precious piece of architecture in the British Isles and roughly speaking worth any two other cathedral we have".

When the central spire was raised in 1300 it became the tallest building in the world, taking the title from the Great Pyramid of Giza.

The carvings are fascinating to see, in particular the famous Lincoln Imp!

The Cathedral owns one of only four surviving copies of Magna Carta signed in 1215 and is well worth a visit.

The Retreat is a wonderful holiday escape and one that will linger long in the memory.
