  • "The property was fantastic and even more spacious than the pictures."

The kids loved being all on one level, the hot tub was regularly checked during our visit and the garden was perfect for the dogs. All the furnishings and the beds were great, the only thing we found fault with was the big red sofa. The cushions are clearly beyond their best and need refilling. It made the sofa almost impossible to sit on comfortably and would be an easy fix to make. Thankyou for an amazing stay and we would love to stay again in the future.

  • "The property is beautiful in a stunning peaceful location."

The only issue we had was the fact that there was no welcome pack, everywhere we have stayed previously ( we are a group of work colleagues that go away each year ) a small welcome with tea, coffee etc has been included and this was not the case. In addition there were no cleaning products and only half a toilet roll in each bathroom. I appreciate that we needed to go to the shops for our stay but to not be able to grab a hot drink until everyone arrived was a bit disappointing. However that said the property is stunning with nothing to do but relax, pure bliss.

  • "We stayed at The Stables in August 2023."

The cottage was amazing, large comfortable rooms throughout, a massive garden overlooking beautiful farmland, location is in the middle of no-where which we liked because it's so peaceful. The cottage was well equipped, the balance between traditional and modern was spot on, a good sized kitchen to dine in and a large comfortable lounge to chill out in the evening. Sitting out in the hot tub under the stars was so relaxing. We took 2 small dogs and although there are no nearby parks, walking around the lanes was very safe because there are hardly any cars. We would definitely recommend this property to others and we will revisit at some point.

Beautiful property in a peaceful location. Has everything you need for a very comfortable stay and is very clean. Good location to explore different areas. Hot tub is brilliant, especially at dusk when you can watch the owls coming and going from the owl house in the garden. The kids loved the space outside, we will definitely visit again!

All very clean, however not much toilet roll provided for 8 people, so we did bring our own after reading other reviews. Hot tub is very exposed as it has no fences around and can be seen by passers by on road. Wasn’t a problem for us as but something other may not like.

  • "House was lovely, really has the wow factor."

Unfortunately there were a lot of flies in the house, so could definitely do with some fly strips. The garden is massive and great for playing games if having a day at the house. Could do with being fully enclosed to ensure children are safe. Would really benefit from a climbing frame or something given that there isn’t anything within walking distance. Overall the house is great for families and would highly recommend and would definitely go back.

Thankyou for taking the time to leave us feedback. We are so glad you had a lovely stay. We will get some fly traps for the property for the summer months and just for future there is a small play park just down the road (at the cross roads straight over onto the other side of wrangle bank). We really hope to see you again. Property Owner

The setting is beautiful, it’s literally in the middle of nowhere but you can easily access a great pub ‘The Bricklayers’ 2.5 miles away. And as long as you have a car there’s loads of great places to visit within a 30 minute drive. The stables provides fantastic modern accommodation, it’s very spacious and 8 of us fit in no problem with plenty of room to spare. The garden is wonderful, it’s huge!! We spent many days playing ball games in the sunshine. The hot tub is great. We owl watched every night and saw the two owls coming and going. We met the owner when she came to service the hot tub and she was lovely. This stables is definitely the best cottage we have ever stayed at and we will definitely be returning. Note description 3 bathrooms there is only 2 and one cloakroom very misleading Flies a big problem in property due to dirty kitchen bin Dishwasher not working properly ended up having to wash by hand Dirty under furniture and needed to keep something on feet as floor not clean No controls on hot tub so you couldn't control the temperature and it was far to hot almost scolding, CCTV on hot tub recording no signs to say you are being recorded and really feel one of the cameras should not be filming people in hot tub Would have liked some cushions for outside chairs as not comfortable Lovely location garden very good and tidy Spacious property comfortable beds It was watching and listening to owls that made the holiday

We are very upset to read such negative feedback and are sorry you felt this way about our property. We are a family run business and pride ourselves on giving our guests a clean and welcoming accommodation. I feel I could have resolved all of these issues if you had brought them to my attention when I met you whilst doing the hot tub maintenance. I could have turned the heat down on the hot tub for you as everyone has a different preference to temperature. The cameras do not record at any time and are just a deterrent when the property is empty, hence why there is no signs of recording cctv, they can also be moved around to different directions, I could have pointed them further towards the road, again, if I had known this was an issue I could have put your mind at rest. The cottage has a lovely feel to it and we all felt so at home. We were two families so would have benefited from two rooms have single beds as our children prefer not to share. But that’s a minor detail. Also a washing line would have been great as the weather was gorgeous. Thank you again The Brown’s and The Radburn’s

  • "The Stables was lovely and warm!"

The facilities were great, plenty of kitchen space available to use and a good selection of plates, knives etc. The beds were comfortable and the rooms had lots of storage space. The accommodation was furnished and decorated to a high standard. The hot tub was checked on the Sunday, a couple of other checks during the week would’ve been nice so we knew that the water was still ok to use. The only thing that we didn’t like was that on Thursday the window cleaner visited, I understand these jobs have to be done but surely a Friday would be better as it’s check out day. I wouldn’t have been happy about this if I was in the hot tub as I would’ve been as invasion of my privacy. It maybe worth mentioning in the description that the gardens are not enclosed. We were fine keeping the dog on the lead, some others may not be so happy with it.

  • "This property has been beautifully renovated by the owners."

We rented it for a family gathering of 8 adults to celebrate a 'big' birthday - it was perfect. We made full use of the hot tub which was fabulous. The house is quite isolated and you have to drive about 30 minutes to get to anywhere for something to do but don't let that put you off. The only downside was that there weren't any 'basics' provided which is unusual these days in a holiday rental, i.e. washing up liquid, tea, coffee, sugar, salt etc (not for a whole week but enough to see you through the first few days would help) and only 3 toilets were provided for 8 guests. Also a couple of lamps in the lounge would be nice as would a window blind or curtains on the bi-fold doors but these are very minor things and I would book the house again for the same purpose. The garden is huge but not enclosed so you cannot let your dogs out unattended.

The beds are really comfortable, there was plenty of utensils (despite other reviews saying there was nothing), the interior was all a really high quality.....for what we paid I think it was huge value for money. The hosts looked after us well and even when we had a slight issue with how dirty the hot tub got on the 2nd day after the farmer had been working in the field next door, they happily came and cleaned it for us so we could carry on using it. The only thing I would say is that you'd have to be careful if you took dogs because the garden isn't enclosed. We took a giant pen with us to put around the patio area so it wasn't a problem, however if your dog is a bit of a runner or their recall isn't the best I'd just be mindful as the Stables is situated right next to a road (albeit not a busy one). It is also situated in the middle of nowhere and therefore quite exposed to the elements, so whilst its scenic and very tranquil, I'd recommend packing a blanket or a decent hoodie to wear if you want to sit outside afternoon/evening time. Overall a very good place to stay and I would happily book this venue again.

peaceful, spacious and we had a thoroughly lovely time. The owner was very friendly and when we had a slight ant invasion it was sorted immediately. I meant to ask for the brand of the mattress used in the master bedroom as it was really comfortable. Less than 2 miles from the Lincolnshire Wildlife park, which our granddaughters loved and much fun had in Skegness by all the family. Other places visited were a soft play on the way to Boston which was clean and well run. We had a lovely meal in the Bricklayer's arms - so much good quality food it beat us all! On our last day we took the girls horseriding to Stickney .. good value and fun. Sitting in the hot tub at night with no light pollution was fabulous and guaranteed to see the resident owls at twilight. A thoroughly relaxing week and could not recommend the property enough.

There were 5 of us and it was a greasy stay. Loads of space and the dogs love it. The garden wasn’t completely enclosed, so if You have dogs that do runners this isn’t really for them! The hot tub was perfect and seeing the owls constantly flying around was amazing! All I would say is don’t forget anything for your stay as they didn’t have any essentials. We had to buy washing up liquid, loo roll as there was only 3 rolls for 5 of us for 4 days. No spare teabags etc. The checkout was at 10 but the owner came at 9 on the day of leaving, so there was a slight pressure to leave immediately. I would still definitely go back, all of us had a lovely time! Not much to do near the property (without driving) but we didn’t mind that at all! We loved the quiet, we went to Chapels st. Leonard’s beach which was amazing, we only knew about it, as the owners left a list of dog friendly walks and places!
