Doune is a pretty village resting within the district of Stirling, Scotland. The village houses a medieval castle which was used as the Monty Python set. Today, it houses a 95ft high gatehouse and also boasts domestic quarters where you will find the Lord’s Hall with its carved oak screen and double fireplace. The village also houses a selection of shops, a restaurant and a café, as well as buildings of historical interest which includes the Kilmadock Parish Church and the Bridge of Teith.
