  • "Unfortunately we didn't get to meet the owner Jean , but she did have the decency to phone us after a couple of days to make sure we were okay and had everything we needed."

If were in area again would definitely book there again. Would most definitely recommend to anyone one who wants a comfortable clean well maintained place to stay in Mid Wales.

Thank you for your lovely comments. So pleased you enjoyed your stay with us . Sorry we never met this time but enjoyed our couple of chats by phone. Look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Regards Jean Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful stay."

The annexe was comfortable, clean and in a beautiful spot. The owners were extremely helpful and very approachable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Wales.

  • "We found The Annexe a tad remote and small."

It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower enclosure needs a shower caddy to hold shampoos and shower gels together with a shower mat outside the door. Wet feet and tile floors are not a good combination. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped ,however, there was no bread board or bread knife. We will not return.

  • "Lovely little annexe, in a peaceful setting, just right for two."

Very clean and welcoming. Bathroom a bit of a squeeze, sink almost unusable as too small and too low. Maybe two towels each for a week? Could have done with some chopping boards and tin opener not working. Overall a great little place to stay.

  • "As a couple, we enjoyed our short stay in the annexe, and thank you for the welcome treats of the welsh cakes and water."

If you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle but still be a short drive away the location is great, it was so tranquil. It is also great from the perspective that within 30 minutes you can visit some great places north and south of the property. The annexe is compact which is to be expected and it has everything you would need. I would say that if you are staying in the annexe and not the main building don’t bring a lot of “stuff” with you otherwise it may end being kept in the car :-) The only negatives but not affecting the review would be that the doors are a bit creaky and particularly the bathroom do not close on the latch easily and needs an extra push but that is being picky, and it would be useful for some explicit leaving instructions re bedding and towels as the generic Sykes instructions pretty much say follow instructions at the property. The key question is would you stay here again, and the answer is definite yes

Sorry for my late reply and thank you for your comments. So pleased that you enjoyed your time in Blaenywawr annex and apologise about the creaking bathroom door. Having checked it out last weekend I'm now in the process of rectifying. I would love to welcome you back in the future. Regards and best wishes. Jean Property Owner

  • "What an absolute little gem of a cottage!"

Just the right size for two - compact but ideal. Well equipped, tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We were in the area for the whole week for the National Eisteddfod of Wales which was held in Tregaron this year. The annexe (and its adjoining larger bungalow) is in a very rural, ‘away from it all’ location which is absolutely beautiful, especially on a gorgeous summer’s day. You can reach nearby villages, towns and places of interest in the lovely county of Ceredigion quite easily - though just be ready for driving on some surrounding narrow country lanes! We had good communication with the owners and a much appreciated welcome pack on arrival - diolch (thank you)! We would happily recommend Blaenywawr Annexe as ideal accommodation for a delightful break for two in the Welsh countryside.

Diolch yn fawr iawn . Thank you so much for this amazing feedback . So pleased that Tregaron eisteddfod was such a massive success in Ceredigion and that Blaenywawr played a small part in your overall enjoyment during the week. Thank you so much. Property Owner

The owners are readily contacable and wonderfully helpful. A very peaceful and tranquil place, which is of the highest standard of cleanliness and superbly well maintained. This was our first stay at this property, but certainly will not be out last, we are already planning out next stay. We cannot praise this property and it's owners enough, thank you for a wonderful stay. William and Annette
