  • "Lovely roomy cottage with good facilities."

We had a really enjoyable stay and there was plenty of room for all of us. Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom, which was really handy and great, and the basement flat was fantastic for the kids. A few things i wish i had known - 1) the bath towels provided were really small, and so you might be better to bring your own towels, 2) The house is right on the main busy road, 3) The house is in Abarath but there is nothing there! the nearest pub is about 2 miles down the road and not really walkable. 4) the driveway is ridiculously steep and round a sharp bend which means it is not really useable. Overall we had a really enjoyable holiday and the house was very well equipped. Each bathroom had hand soap provided and there was washing up liquid, tea towels and lots of crockery and cooking equipment provided in the kitchen. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • "Pros - Dewi Villa is a lovely property, comfortable and warm with everything you could possibly need."

We had a wonderful stay. Cons - it was not the cleanest house with dust and dog hair under and behind furniture, with two asthmatics in the party this was an issue we did remove as much as possible as there were plenty of cleaning materials available The freezer door does not seal and the freezer was so iced up the door would not shut we had to defrost it before we could use it. The radiator in the apartment bedroom does not work the room was very cold. It did not mention on the listing that the house is on the main coast road which gets very busy and noisy in the mornings. I was woken early every day by the noise. The garden is not secure and there are various escape points for an intrepid dog. This caused some anxiety due to the proximity to the main road and livestock. We had to keep the younger dog on the lead at all times. The turn on to the drive is very tight, and a large 4x4 was parked opposite the entrance on the road, throughout the stay which made it very difficult to turn on to the drive. We badly scraped the car on the first day but worked out a system to get in and out after that. It does mention this in the listing and there is parking in the village but some distance away down by the beach. These are minor niggles and did not really effect our enjoyment of the house.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night escape so close to the sea. Spacious yet cosy and well equipped. Great communication from owner. Lovely chips from Aberaeron! We would recommend to a group of friends but would also take our children for a family holiday. Thanks for a great stay.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for you kind words and we hope to welcome you back in the future. Property Owner

  • "Dewi villa is just 3mins from aberaeron,we all enjoyed ."

Parking ok off the road. We were told to use the key code front or back but front door was not in use there was a sign on it not to use. Floorboards need sorting very creaky in our bedroom . Everything else we cannot fault it is near the beach and lovely decking to the top of garden and you can see the sea. Freezer in the big kitchen needs thawing it is all frosted up with ice . No dishwasher in smaller kitchen and freezer not on . Heating had been set so went cold in the evening and came on in the night in bed. It was too warm . Instructions need to be there to set the heating then we could turn off when we leave. Positives are amazing place to stay and will certainly go again . Thankyou

  • "Dewi villa is a large, striking property in a small village on the coast road."

The kitchen is extremely well-equipped and the rooms spacious and comfortably furnished.. The beds are very comfortable and the end of the garden has a sea view. However, the photos give the impression that the house is not close to other buildings, which it is. Parking is a big problem unless you have a small car. However, the biggest problem we had was the noise at night. The house is next to the coast road and heavy vehicles rumble past, night and day. The windows are double-glazed, but maybe something more could be done to insulate the front bedroom windows from the noise? It is a short walk to the sea and a short drive to Aberaeron, where you can find some wonderful independent shops.

  • "Well equipped house."

Interesting building. Costcutter in Aberaeron was handy. Wi-fi and tv reception was dodgy. Very comfortable. Parking outside on the street was fine, but it's a bit tight. I'd stay there again.

It is a beautiful house, with a very well equipped kitchen, and is only a short stroll from the beach. We are hoping to go back again next year.

  • "What a great property for our holiday."

We were two couples and three dogs, and we loved the space and all that was on offer at the house. We loved that it was a very short walk to the local shingle beach, close to Aberaeron for shops/restaurants and a great base to take day trips, which we did every day. Dewi Villa exceeded our expectations and everyone was very glad we chose it for our incredible week in Wales.

  • "We had a lovely, relaxing, 3 generation family holiday."

The downstairs kitchen/ sitting area was the one used by us all as it led directly out into the garden and lower outside seating area. One improvement I would suggest is that this kitchen also be equipped with a microwave. The garden space was well used by all of us and we enjoyed sitting around the outside dining table as a whole group. The rest of the garden was also a pleasant environment. We would definitely use the house again and would reassure anyone worried about its proximity to the road that this didn't intrude on our holiday or cause us any difficulty.

  • "We had a great break in this spacious and comfortable house."

A proper home from home, with everything you could need. Pleased to see there was a view of the sea from the top of the garden! Although house right next to the road it was surprisingly quiet. We hope to return some time.

The owners are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Dewi Villa and would like to thank you for your positive feedback. They would love to welcome you back. Property Owner

  • "Spacious, comfortable, well equipped property."

Unsure if pets allowed as Sykes site states no pets, but evidence in visitor book that pets have been allowed. Some clarity on this would be good. Wonderful location for walking costal path or visiting nearby villages and towns along Cardigan Bay. Parking us up a narrow, steep drive. Great sunset views over the sea from the decked area at the top of the garden.

Thank you for your feedback. For clarity, for future guests, up to three well behaved dogs are welcome at Dewi Villa, as indicated by the 'Pets Yes' in the brief description and as stated in the property Summary. We are sorry if you missed this. Property Owner

  • "A beautiful villa set in a fab location, just 2 minutes from a beach!"

The house itself was clean, extremely comfortable beds and has everything you need to relax and enjoy your holiday. We only used one upstairs bedroom and the downstairs as there was only 4 of us but you could easily have 8 adults sharing and still have plenty of room. We would highly recommend this lovely holiday home.

Comfortable and spacious given current Covid conditions was plenty of space in the villa for all. Obviously local shops/venues close at 10pm but that made the size of the villa even better. Highly recommended.

Very well equipped and comfortable. A beautiful half-hour walk along the coastal path to a very beautiful village with plenty of shops to potter in, bars and cafes and a well-stocked little supermarket. Only slight problem is its location right on the side of a busy A road, which made sitting out in the garden slightly less enjoyable. But all in all, a beautiful place to relax.

Some beds were good but we had to tighten up one as it had come very loose and one mattress was not at all comfy. But it was a lovely house.
