  • "We enjoyed our stay."

The holiday cottage met our expectations. We loved the atmosphere of 30’s in this house, and especially cosiness provided by open fireplace. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen would benefit from at least one genuinely sharp knife. :) And yes, we loved exclusivity of watching dogs working with sheep just outside of our windows.

  • "We are still on holiday here."

But have to leave a review. This house is amazing. 1930s original décor, which we love. The artwork on the walls add to the character. Feel very relaxed in this house. Lovely well kept garden, beautiful scenery. The ancient churchyard is bigger than we thought and very interesting stories about the locals. Hope the owners get to see this review. Just want to say well done and don't change it. It's just perfect.

Thank you for your encouraging review and we are thrilled that you are enjoying Glynteg's special charm and location. We hope to welcome you back again one day. Property Owner

The only thing that lets the house down is the cleaners, there's dust and cobwebs everywhere i do have pictures, apart from that we had a good holiday

We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and agree that a house should be free from dust and cobwebs. We will ask our cleaning team to be more thorough. Property Owner

Quiet but stunningly beautiful surroundings. Thoroughly enjoyed and recommend.

  • "The cottage was generally fine but rather dated."

The furniture and fittings were not of the standard that you expect today. It reminded us of a french gite from25 years ago. Around the sink tiles needs cleaning and re- sealing. There is no dishwasher and limited work space for preparing food. The bedside light in one room has no socket. Simple to run an extension lead. The grass hadn't been cut for some time. Just all needs a bit of attention and updating, keeping the rural charm of the house and setting.

Thank you for your feedback, and we are sorry that you were disappointed with some aspects of your stay. We have asked the management team to ensure the sink tile area is cleaned thoroughly and re-grouted. We will ask them to replace the extension lead that was usually under the bed to ensure all bedside lamps can be used. The gardener has been asked to to mow the lawns more regularly. Regrettably, The property is not advertised as having a dishwasher and so this is why this was not available to you at the time. Thank you again for your feedback. Please take care and stay safe.
