  • "Absolutely fantastic stay at this property, beautiful inside and out, everything you could need."

I do have to look hard to find any criticism, and the only thing I can think of which could be improved is the size of the towels provided for the hot tub! Just to note, if you are staying with large dogs, the wire fence between the garden and the surrounding sheep is only approx 1meter tall. Didn’t impact us at all as our dogs are good boys and would never attempt to get out, however, it could easily be cleared if your dog has that nature! We will certainly be back, and can’t wait to meet the overly friendly sheep again!! Thank you to the hosts for your fabulous facilities.

Kitchen well set out with comfortable dining area. Living room spacious but sofa only suitable for 4 people, sofas not comfortable as you sink into them so I was unable to use as it affected my back and I couldn't get up. Kitchen needed oven baking tray and better knives as the knives weren't sharp. Bathroom shower tiles were mouldy and needed deep clean, as did windows around the property, probably due to condensation but hadn't been cleaned for a while especially the kitchen. Waste bin in kitchen was dirty inside although bin bag covers the dirt. A 10am checkout didn't justify the deep clean issues/ covid as didn't the 5pm checkin. 7 hours of cleaning didn't seem to represent the cleanliness of areas, especially as guests we had to strip bedding, etc. We would return as it is a beautiful place, lovely cake from the owner.

Had two meals out at the local pub The Seven Stars - just had to walk down the drive to get there - really friendly welcoming locals. A talented local man walks his dog across the hill playing his harmonica, stunning church such a peaceful village, wish I lived here! Only advertised as having one bathroom, but it has two really - a nice modern big bath with mixer tap and separate shower, and another en-suite bathroom which has another shower and toilet - so two toilets, two showers and a bath. Really handy utility room with a dog cage - our two dogs actually liked going in there which was their first time in one! - it kept our one year old King Charles calm while we were in the hot tub (as he tried to get in with us!) we all loved it! The cottage is very private, set in picturesque, peaceful countryside where all you can hear are the birds and the sheep. The interior is very clean and comfortable and has all the amenities that you could want from a holiday let. There is a private garden (with garden furniture) which is a wonderful sun trap, perfect for relaxing in with a cup of tea or glass of wine and if this isn't enough, there is the most amazing hot tub in which we spent many a happy hour. The cottage is also well situated as a base from which to explore Wales. We were made to feel welcome on our arrival with the added bonus of flowers and a lovely cake, there was comprehensive information about the local area (shops, eating places etc) provided and the friendly owners were available for any queries that we had. One small issue - the post code provided by Sykes for the property was incorrect and we had to ask at one of the local houses for directions.

The pictures do not do this property justice and there are views out of every window. If you want a peaceful and relaxing break this is ideal. Shame the pub (literally a few hundred yards away) is currently unoccupied as nowhere to eat/drink in walking distance. However there is a large fridge/freezer in the utility room as well as a fridge in the kitchen so plenty of room for a delivered shop to buy in your own treats. The garden is totally secure and there is a crate for your dog bed in the utility room - ideal for 2 small/1medium sized dogs. Flexi-leads are handy here as lots of sheep around when out walking. The property

A stunning 1980's style red brick bungalow, tucked away down a little lane in the hamlet village of Aberedw in Builth Wells.

Everything about this fantastic property portrays style and modern elegance; there are three beautifully capacious bedrooms all with superb countryside views, a home ideally suited to families or friends.

A rural setting surrounded by the property gardens, fully enclosed so it is suitable for children and pets with views overlooking glorious open fields and access onto a footpath over the old castle hill.

The cottage has an open-plan kitchen and dining area with a beautiful dining table and stunning views out through the French doors into the garden.

You also have the added utility room, with fridge/freezer and washing machine so you have an advantage of extra space in the kitchen area.

The sitting room features a lovely wood burner, so if you're feeling chilly during the winter season, turn up the heat and get cosy on the deluxe leather sofas.

You will be overwhelmed by the panoramic, picturesque views from the garden which features a barbecue and exceptionally large hot tub, so why not take a nice hot soak after a long day of country hiking before your evening meal, should you choose to dine indoors or out, you have the option.

In Builth Wells, just a 10-minute drive away is the RWAS showground, home of the Royal Welsh Show, hosting other big public events all-year-round.

The highlights are the Spring Festival held in May for smallholding, gardening and sustainable living enthusiasts and the Winter Fair, held in December which features livestock displays and a huge Christmas market.
