  • "Wow. Everything about this log cabin was just phenomenal."

The location, the views, the cabin itself, the cleanliness, the hot tub, the scent of timber as you walk through the door, the wildlife, the decor... I could keep going! I was hesitant about booking this log cabin, it's nearly double our usual price range. But having experienced just a short weekend here (which was sadly cut short by a day) I can honestly say it was worth EVERY penny, and then some! You can tell the owners take immense pride in this cabin... Thank you so much for sharing it with us, we'll definitely be returning soon!

  • "Our recent stay at Bacheiddon Log Cabin in Wales was nothing short of extraordinary."

From the moment we arrived until our reluctant departure, every aspect of our experience was simply impeccable. First and foremost, our host Bethan deserves a special mention. Her warmth, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made our stay truly memorable. Bethan went above and beyond to ensure that we felt welcome and comfortable throughout our visit. Her passion for ensuring guests have a fantastic experience was evident in every detail. The cabin itself was a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. The cosy atmosphere created by the log walls and tasteful decor made us feel like we had stepped into a tranquil haven. The cabin was spotlessly clean, and the attention to detail in its maintenance was apparent. One of the highlights of our stay was the delightful hot tub. Nestled amidst the scenic beauty of Wales, soaking in the hot tub was a rejuvenating experience, especially after a day of exploring the picturesque surroundings. The tub was well-maintained, and the serene ambience elevated the experience to a whole new level. Communication with Bethan was seamless from the moment we booked until we checked out. Her prompt responses and willingness to assist with any queries or requests were greatly appreciated. It's evident that she takes pride in ensuring her guests have a stress-free and enjoyable stay. The location of Bacheiddon Log Cabin is a rare find. Surrounded by lush greenery and offering stunning views, the cabin provides a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway or a relaxing break with friends, this location caters to all. In conclusion, our stay at Bacheiddon Log Cabin was a delightful escape that exceeded our expectations. The combination of a welcoming host, charming cabin, inviting hot tub, and breathtaking surroundings made for an unforgettable experience. We wholeheartedly recommend Bacheiddon Log Cabin to anyone seeking a slice of paradise in the heart of Wales. Our sincere thanks to Bethan for making our stay so special; we look forward to returning to this idyllic retreat in the future.

Hi Paige,I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay with us, It is the Law to change the hot tub water after every stay, we do fill the hot tub up with hot water but it can still take 3-4 hrs to get up to the correct tempreture x Property Owner

  • "This is truly one of the most stunning and beautiful lodges I have ever stayed in."

The wrap around views and tranquility (except when you get the odd fighter jet doing a low level pass, a pretty cool plus point!) is great for resetting from the hustle and bustle of city life. The lodge was clean and beautifully furnished, the views from the hot tub I miss already. It is ideally located for access to a number of great walks (you can pick and choose the difficulty of hike!) I'd recommend a beach walk from Tywyn to Aberdyfi and yomp through Halfren forest up to the source of the river Severn. We look forward to returning to Bacheiddon lodge again, in the not to distant future.

The layout of the cabin is how I would design my own, the beds are extremely comfortable, the jacuzzi is utter perfection with the surroundings to go with it. We got to meet Beth and her husband this time round and they are an extremely lovely and friendly couple. We will undoubtedly be back for a 3rd visit soon. Sitting in the private hot tub with just miles of fields around watching the baby lambs running around and the Red Kites in the sky was just lovely. We loved the wood burner and the beautiful open space of the Cabin to relax in. The Cabin has a well equipped kitchen and two good size bedrooms with a modern bathroom with bath and separate shower. • "Wow! What a holiday."

We did not do too much partly because Bacheiddon Log Cabin was so wonderfully comforting! Photos do not do the place justice, you do not get the scale in the photos for how vast and big the mountain range is around you. There was plenty of space outside for our kids to pitch up a tent, run around, play games, go in the hot tub and all doing so with complete privacy. Not to mention that the cabin is beautiful to look at from the outside too. Internally it was clean, spacious and practical. The bed mattresses were perfect for our backs. The master bedroom window looks out across the distant mountain range and is delightful. The bathroom is generous offering both stand in shower next to a Bath Tub. Not to forget, there is a log burner in the living room for the colder nights. We used this once just for the sake of using it. But in the winter we would definitely have used it more. Our recommendations, however, is simply to include a full length mirror and offer a fly swatter. As the cabin does attract the bugs. The owner of the property came to visit and was extremely friendly and welcoming. She was the first owner in a long time to actually check up on us on our holidays. It was most appreciated and anything we needed was only a text away. The cabin location is great for walkers and people wanting to explore Wales. I would advise small families to do your research for things to do as most kid friendly places are 30+ minutes away minimum. However, if they can walk, and you are interested in walking, there is a cute walk to the lake of Glaslyn just 2 Miles up the hill. Also for any plane lovers out there, you are near the Mach Loop which is spectacular. Overall, I can’t recommend this property enough and we shall definitely be returning!

Location is remote but we visited lots of places within an hour that were kid friendly. My daughter loved the hot tub and the sheep being so close! Beds were comfy and the Wi-Fi was good which we haven’t always had in other places so that was a bonus. Highly recommend!!

The oven gloves would have been in a kitchen drawer and the corkscrew in the drawer above that, we're so sorry if you couldn't find them and would have explained where they were if we'd known you were stuck. We will put the oven gloves near the oven in future so guests can see them. We are also happy for guests to use the slate plaque in the kitchen as a trivet.
