  • "Really beautiful setting so peaceful and quiet."

Very comfortable and everything you need is available you only have to ask the owners who are on site and they try to help in any way they can. Highly recommend if you want an upmarket break.

Lovely welcome from Emily and Rob the property owner was very friendly and gave us useful information about the local area. Easy access to the lake for our kayak. Absolutely stunning view from our sunny balcony. We had a very relaxing break in this beautiful spot.

  • "One of the best places we have ever rented."

Peaceful, quiet and relaxing in a beautiful setting but within reach of everything we wanted to do. The apartment was well equipped with great hosts who made us feel very welcome. We never wanted to leave…….

  • "Incredible views, very peaceful, very comfortable although the one mattress was a bit old."

Good facilities but, for self-catering accommodation I felt the lack of any hob or even a two-plate heater was insufficient. The kitchen was moderately well stocked. Could do with more basics such as serving bowls, serving spoons, a better grater, etc.

  • "I had the best week at Glan y gro."

Rob and Ann were the perfect hosts. Very discrete and left me to it but always there if I needed anything and went the extra mile. Lovely people. The apartment itself was perfect. Stunning views and very well equipped. I had everything I needed. The combi microwave and oven was very easy to use. I certainly hope to be back one day. The perfect holiday.

  • "It is true that there are some luxurious provisions -spa bath, combination oven/microwave/grill, huge Netflix TV, however very basic items are missing which I would have expected to be standard equipment."

There are no placemats, no tray to carry hot drinks/food onto the balcony, lighting in bathroom is poor and there is no shaving light. There is no cooker hob and it is not possible to boil and egg in the combi-cooker. The latter is very complicated and the instruction manual very difficult to understand. It was impossible to watch live TV on the TV set. All in all grossly over-priced and very disappointing.

Hi Mike. oh wow luxurious spa bath! t.v Netflix! combi oven microwave! beautiful view of lake Bala ! and your complaining about place mats. I don’t need to really say anymore Property Owner

My stay at Arenig was as wonderful as I'd hoped; the apartment is excellent, the facilities are wonderful and the hosts are extremely welcomeing and helpful. Booking through Sykes wasn't any easier than before, and the price appears to have gone up by £100...

  • "Our hosts, Rob and Anne greeted us on arrival and were so welcoming and friendly."

The apartment was perfect, very clean, comfortable bed and great facilities. We didn't use the combi oven/ microwave but we used everything else and there wasn't anything we went to use that hadn't been thought of - the view from our balcony was amazing and just made it for us. The local town was great too, we ate in a couple of the restaurants and both were very good. Its a great base to go exploring the beautiful North Wales and we would not hesitate to return again in the future

The setting is perfect in its on little wooded area right on the lake side. The views and sunsets are stunning. Didn’t turn the TV on once in 4 days. Owners are lovely and welcoming and happy to give info on local area. Accommodation was clean and well set. Walk back to Bala is about 25min along lake shore and was nice to be away from the crowds in the town centre. Will be back for certain.
