The property

A stone-built mid-terraced cottage in the centre of the well-known village of Llanrhaeadr Ym Mochnant, which lies in the beautiful Tanat Valley, at the foot of the Berwyn Mountain Range.

A wonderfully cosy Wales cottage, well-equipped and furnished, the open plan living area with woodburner is perfect for relaxing after a day's activities in the surrounding countryside.

This area is a mecca for walkers of all abilities, with trails from the doorstep up into the Berwyn Mountains.

Four miles away is the wonderful Pistyll Rhaeadr, Wales' highest waterfall which cascades down over 240 feet, while Lakes Vyrnwy and Bala are a short drive away.

Further afield, but still within easy reach, are Snowdonia, Shropshire, Powys Castle and even the historic city of Chester.

This pleasant village lies in the beautiful Tanat Valley, at the foot of the Berwyn Mountains, only 4 miles from one of the Seven Wonders of Wales - the magnificent Pistyll Rhaeadr (240 ft high waterfall). Llanrhaeadr Ym Mochnant was the location for the successful film "The Englishman Who Went Up A Hill But Came Down A Mountain" and has two general stores, a newsagents, a Post Office, a butchers, two pubs and two cafes. It is surrounded by lovely countryside, which provides walking trails for all abilities including the Berwyn Ridge Walk and a trail to the summit of the waterfall. Discover lovely Lakes Vyrnwy and Bala, Chirk Castle, Powys Castle and Gardens, medieval Shrewsbury and Chester, and the wonderful Snowdonia National Park.
