  • "The apartment was lovely and bright and very modern and clean, the key safe was a little hard to work as I couldn't get it open to leave the key back in safely on leaving the property, but apart from that every else was perfect."

The Back bedrooms are really musty but we did not use no outside space although steps to a shared garden at the top brilliant views

  • "A little deceiving the view on the apartment advert was actually the communal entrance lobby, but the flat was clean well decorated and all equipment supplied."

The top two steps to the front terrace are very loose though and the control to the oven seems to be damaged but overall an excellent place and we would love to visit again!

  • "Fabulous quality holiday accommodation."

A 10 minute walk from the centre of Barmouth so very convenient. Lovely sea views, a shame there are trees obscuring the middle section of view but that can’t be helped. When we first arrived we had to collect the key from a key safe. There were 4 on the wall and had no idea which one so had to try them all. It’s dark in the back rooms as the property is built right up to the rocks. You can go out of the back door and wander up the garden area to some magnificent views. It has a really good shower. The jacuzzi bath wasn’t working. The beds have quality bedding. The mattress on the main bed is on the soft side. We didn’t use the other beds. Nice and warm, spotlessly clean and plenty of room. There are quite a few walks directly from the house. The driveway was difficult to negotiate. It’s recommended that you reverse in and you really should. It’s not an easy manoeuvre. There was never another car in when we were there but we we told that there could be. I dread to think how we would have gone on if a second car had been in the driveway! Just about every property I’ve stayed in has provided a welcome gift, be it a bottle of wine or a pint of milk. There was nothing here which is a shame but not the end of the world. What would have been nice though was bin liners for the main bin. There wasn’t even one to start off with. That is bad! I know there are a few negatives here but overall I would highly recommend this place. Just remember to pack some bin bags!!

  • "Location has many plus points but the hill from town is difficult for older or infirm people."

The flat is attractive and the living room is comfortable. The bedrooms however have major draw backs. The bedding on arrival felt damp and clammy. At one point we had standing water under the bed in the family room. We emptied many gallons of water from the de-humidifier. There were issues too with the cooker and lack of general equipment -bath mats/serving bowls and spoons/waste paper bins etc. That said it is clear that the owners have put care into the flat and the disadvantages are outweighed by many good features.

  • "Overall a very good stay, and the roof terrace was a lovely surprise."

The only quibble would be the thermostat settings are OK for the lounge (which gets the sun), but leave the bedrooms (never get any sun) a little chilly at night.

  • "A lovely, large apartment with fantastic views of the coast, especially from the outside sun terrace."

The shower and bath in the bathroom were great. We didn’t use the car for the whole week as we could walk into Barmouth daily. And with the station in town, took train journeys both ways for days out. A great week was had and with the weather being brilliant all week, made for the perfect week. Thanks for everything Barry and Barbara

  • "Not great 'kerb appeal' on arrival with an old bath sat in the parking area but don't let it put you off, as we're sure it won't be there forever?"

The parking area is also a bit of a pain to get into (easier to reverse if nothing coming too fast around the corner). It also has a high wall with very loose coping stones on top (some of which seemed to be falling off during our stay, so we didn't park our car beside the wall!). Once you get into the apartment it's beautiful and has everything you could need for your holiday. Wonderful view from the lounge/kitchen/diner area and an even better view from the private (ish) decking area through the kitchen door and up the stairs. We were slightly disappointed that there was no 'welcome pack'. Other self catering places we've stayed in have always provided something, even if it's a pint of milk? As there was only the two of us we closed the 2nd/3rd bedroom off and used it as a one bed apartment. Lovely bathroom and the apartment was always warm. We ate out everyday so only used the kitchen for drinks and snacks. On arrival we did notice that one of the knobs on the cooker was broken so we reported it to Gemma (maintenance). She did offer to get someone in to fix it but as we wouldn't be using it we declined her offer. Barmouth has everything you could need for a great holiday.......cafes, pubs, restaurants, takeaways, supermarket, train, etc. We love Barmouth and will definitely be back.

  • "A perfectly positioned holiday rental with fantastic view over the bay and harbour from the lounge."

It is within easy reach of Barmouth, the train station, Barmouth Bridge to pick up the estuary walk to Dolgellau (bus back which stopped almost directly outside) and it's at the start of the Panorama walk - it really coukdnt be better-located. Some fantastic looking eateries in Barmouth, but the weather was so awful we literally couldn't get to them due to nightly heavy downpours, but we managed to get to the Last Inn (as drowned rats) a couple of times and the food there was delicious. Almost everything we needed was provided except tea towels (an oversight?), and we could've done with a scourer-type sink sponge. Also the entry box was very stiff, and having to access it where rain was being channeled into a permanent stream meant I got drenched on entry and again at the end of the stay because it was so stiff and fiddly (it's a similar type to one we have at home so I'm used to using them). These are very minor practical gripes though to highlight "guest-experience", and all in all we had a fabulous time.
