  • "We had an amazing week."

The most dog friendly house we have ever stayed in they did not need to leave the sunroom /kitchen and plenty of space for crates and great garden. We took chargable lights with us for the playroom so we were able to use later in the evening. We hope to come back again soon. great location for beach

  • "We were 2 couples with 2 fairly young dogs & this house couldn't have been better for our requirements."

The garden was totally secure, the layout very convenient and the furnishings very practical. We found food shopping in the area was quite limited & were pleased we took a lot with us.

  • "Hi we really enjoyed are stay the location was great and the garden was perfect."

Unfortunately the cleaners didn’t leave any extra bedding so we bought a sleeping bag. The games room had no electricity so we couldn’t play darts or billiards at night which we was hoping to do so. Not enough utensils in the kitchen and the Utensils that was there were not good standard, tried to smash potatoes and the masher kept blending… no dishes to make shepherds pie and lasagna. Pillows in bedroom were of poor standard. Other then that the house was fine. We’ve booked skyes cottages many times before and the standards have been extremely high. Hope this will help on feedback.

  • "Really good holiday."

Would suggest a welcome/visitor book as these really help to learn from previous guests, places to go and places to eat. 2 of us are coeliac and some local knowledge re places to eat would have helped. We would have left comments on places we visited and advice to book into places to eat as absolutely everywhere in Barmouth was fully booked for days. We needed to use the sofa in the sunroom as a 5th bed but were not advised that we would need to bring a sleeping bag as this is not actually a sofa bed so therefore no bed linen, so on our first day, (thankfully arrived early enough) we had to locate a supermarket that would sell a sleeping bag or he would not have had anywhere to sleep that night. Lovely property, well equipped.

  • "Lovely view from upstairs, good location and large, secure, secluded garden."

Kitchen well-equipped but dining table would be awkward for 6 and we couldn't find a tray to take stuff to the outside table. Owner difficult to contact. Double mattress a bit saggy and tired.

  • "We had a very pleasant stay at Tawelfan, We were also blessed with fabulous weather so we made use of the sun chairs and my granddaughter and my son's dogs loved exploring the large safe garden."

The house is of very good spec for a dog friendly house with lots of home from home features. The kitchen has lots of utensils glasses lots and lots of pots and pans. Huge amount of parking to the front of the property and in a lovely quiet position with sea views. We would definitely stay again! I must point out that the sofa bed in the garden room is not really suitable for adults to sleep on for a week even with mattress topper as it is a very slim matress. The cleaners do a great job in the house but around this bed needs more attention as we found children's socks and lots of dog hairs in the bed and on the sheet. The addition of a line prop, and a mop would of helped us to keep the house clean to help the cleaners. I would definitely recommend Tawelfan for anyone with children and pets especially for the safe large fenced in garden and patio area.

  • "Nothing actually bad about the house, but if you don't like wooden flooring there may be a problem, i."

E either young children or dogs slipping as all downstairs are wooden. House itself is lovely and the garden is quite big and lovely sun trap. Ideal central property for walks etc!

  • "The house needed some maintenance."

One oven wasn't working and multiple lights need replacement bulbs, from the bathroom, landing and bedrooms.

  • "Taywelfan is a fantastic base to explore the surrounding area."

The house was very well equipped and the American style fridge was brilliant as there were 4 adults and 2 children above age of 10 so we had plenty of food with us to store. There instruction books for everything so we even put the timer on the oven so our dinner was ready when we came home. It's not too far a drive if you wanted to walk up Mount Snowdon we took the Ranger Path and had a fantastic walk to the summit. We didn't take a dog but if you should have one there is a nice big enclosed garden for them to play. My children loved playing in the games room with their grand parents. Lots of space outside for cars to be parked too. Well worth a visit a****

  • "The property was in a good location, easy walk to the Spar Shop very good butchers just down the road, a good pub with meals opposite Tony's Pizza place."

And the beach down the road opposite, if you are walking down this road it is a bit narrow in places so just have to look out for car's. The property it self was very good, everything that you used was clean, just two thing's, if you take your dog and it is a small one (ours is a westy), we had to block off the two side gates, as he could of got under the one near the garage so we used the bins to block this, and the other gate, we used a blue box and a wooden panel so he was safe. The other, in the garden there is a round table with seating which is good, but there is no other seat's to relax in, when the sun comes out. But other than that a good place to stay... We would go back,

  • "Lovely cottage well equipped and a beautiful location."

Superb views from master bedroom. Very private and quiet. Had a lovely stay. One small drawback was not being able to control central heating, some evenings were quite chilly. There are fires provided but were a bit noisy.so tv had to be turned up quite loud. An extra baking tray would have been handy too. Games room was fun, garden was lovely with sea views when we had the chance to have a picnic outside. There was tea, coffee, milk and wine provided which was a nice touch and much needed after our journey. Would definitely return and hope too in near future
