The property

Nestled in the attractive market town of Bishops Castle in Shropshire, is this splendid, terraced house, 21 High Street.

A former watchmaker’s, the property is set over three floors and can sleep up to six guests and makes for a wonderful getaway for the family and their two furry friends.

Step into the property where you will find a snug with plush sofa, ideal for taking a moment away from it all and reading your favourite novel.

Be welcomed into the generous living/dining room, where you can look forward to relaxing and enjoying your favourite show on the Sky TV as the electric woodburning stove adds an added glow and warmth to the room.

Whip up a delicious homemade feast in the well-equipped kitchen with range cooker, wine cooler and dishwasher for keeping your space tidy.

Settle down around the dining table to tuck-in to a tasty meal, followed by a board game with your loved ones.

Benefit from the handy cloakroom which also houses a washing machine, so you don’t have to bring your whole wardrobe!

Continue your evening out in the enclosed garden, where you can savour the last of the day's sunshine and enjoy a drink or two.

As your eyes grow heavy, climb the stairs to the first-floor where you will discover two well-presented bedrooms, and on the second-floor a third bedroom, a delightful twin, each room is adorned with character features and exposed beams.

Wake-up with a refreshing shower, before setting out for a day of adventures with your loved ones.

At the rear of the property across the right of way access and just a stones throw away is a lovely park, perfect for a walk with your four-legged friends and is a great way to get out for a lovely walk to clear away the cobwebs.

Take advantage of 21 High Street's central location, with a good selection of pubs and restaurants just a stone’s throw away, ideal for those evenings where you don’t feel like cooking.

Immerse yourself in local life at the weekly market, where you can purchase homemade goods and souvenirs.

If you have timed your visit right, you can take part in the well-known Real Ale & Cider Festival which takes place in July, where you can take your pick from over 114 ales and over 48 different ciders.

Just a short drive away is the charming town of Montgomery, home to the fascinating ruins of the 11th-century Montgomery Castle and stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

Delve into the town’s rich history at The Old Bell Museum, where you will find exhibitions detailing what life was like in 18th and 19th-century Montgomery.

Next stop is Ludlow, with its stunning Norman Castle which houses hidden rooms and grounds that often play host to concerts, local markets and fairs.

Learn more about the town at the Ludlow Museum or make a stop at the traditional open-air Ludlow Market where you can browse an excellent selection of stalls, each offering something unique.

Be sure to make a trip to Shrewsbury, well-known for its remarkable castle and historic Abbey, as well as its prison where you can enjoy a tour of the 18th-century cells and yard.
