  • "The cottage is superbly fitted out with everything you need for a short break."

There are some lovely design features in the furniture giving it a modern feel in such historical building. It is extremely clean and comfortable. The owner was great communicating with us about key collection and warning us about the hot tap, which was needed. The cottage is perfectly situated in Bishop's Castle and we would definitely like to book again in the future.

  • "It would have been nice if there was festive decorations also a starter bag of logs or even the heating on low."

We did text to say time of arrival other than that ok.

  • "Great location."

Good size accommodation. Parking on-site. A bit of info about what to do with recycling would be good.

  • "Us being in our 80s it was good that all the rooms were on the one floor."

Facilities were good and the house was nice and central to the town and shops. Having its own parking was a bonus for us although parking is avaliable on the street. We would certainly use again.

  • "Beautiful countryside with many organised walks by the authorities."

All clearly marked with accurate details and directions. A lovely town with many pubs and good food and dog friendly. The only slight criticism would be the lack of a storage cupboard in the kitchen for your own provisions if you are self catering. The apartment facilities overall were brilliant and we would certainly go back and recommend to anyone.

  • "A guide as to how things like showers work and what rubbish goes where would have helped."

We worked out the shower but some might not have. We put all the rubbish in the bin by the fridge - most places have "sorting" bins??!! Other than that , fine.

  • "Secobd time in this cottage."

The cottage ticks all the boxes for a combined couple's holiday and writing retreat, with a dog. Bishop's Castle has several pubs, the best of which we've found to be The Six Bells and The Three Tuns (both dog friendly). Looking forward to staying here again!

  • "This cottage is at the heart of Bishop's Castle, perfect for a couple and a dog (there is space for a crate even for a GSD sized dog) ."

Even arriving late in the night we were welcomed into the cottage with a roaring fire and wine as well as coffee, tea, and milk to make us feel at home. The cottage is warm and cozy, with enough character to make it memorable. Whilst an info pack/guest book would have helped to find where things are in the cottage, the owner is only a text away to answer any questions and honestly most things are just common sense. There is enough cutlery and crockery for two people, and the dishwasher works well, plenty of information/brochures on what to see and do in the area including menus from takeaways. The parking space is also a plus as being in the High Street parking is at a premium. All in all this cottage served our purpose well and we arr already looking into booking again for next year!

  • "Fabulous 25 High Street is a converted shop right in the town centre."

It had everything we needed plus extras like Netflix. Shower worked well, compact open plan kitchen with tea towels, washing up liquid and cleaning products. The bed was very comfortable and large (Super King) so nice to have a good nights sleep after walking in the beautiful countryside. Lovely fresh flowers and bottle of wine on arrival, Thank you Nick. Enjoyed sitting at the breakfast bar in front of the large window watching the world go by. Town Hall Farmers market 3rd Saturday of the month, lovely fresh produce, couldn’t resist buying some homemade piccalilli (delicious) wish I’d bought more to bring home. Lovely welcoming friendly town :) There are plenty of walks in Bishop’s Castle and the surrounding villages and towns. Approx 30mins drive to Ludlow where you’ll find a beautiful Castle, many shops, bars and cafes. Worth a day out :) Market is in town centre every Mon-Wed-Fri-Sat and has a good variety of stalls and local produce. The big question would we stay again?....... Yes definitely :)

  • "My husband and I loved this cottage and wished we could have stayed longer."

The rooms are spacious. It is thoughtfully and uniquely decorated and the facilities are good - especially the little dishwasher! The large bed was very comfortable. The cottage is right in the centre of the delightful village of Bishops Castle and we felt part of the community in the week we stayed there. Our host, Nick, was warm and friendly. Highly recommended.

Everything I needed was there, sharp knife proper pans etc. After visiting a few properties this year I have to say this one wins hands down. The location, off road parking the presentation of the property and the little things made our stay all the better. Very impressed and recommended ten out of ten.
