  • "What a fantastic place to stay."

I wasn't sure when I booked it because it was on the edge of a town but what a beautiful, quirky town it is. The Old Barn is very peaceful with lovely views from the back windows. The house is very well equipped, there wasn't anything needed that wasn't there. The beds were very comfortable but can't say the same for the sofa, though it didn't spoil the holiday at all. The hot tub was a lovely addition, we enjoyed a late afternoon dip after all our walking. Lots and lots of walks from the door - walking books supplied at the house to get ideas from. We will be back.

The cottage was so sweet and rustic, felt very homely! The cats were so friendly and felt like they were greeting us every morning. The setting was spectacular. So quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was the icing on the cake for us, relaxed us and made it easy to have a fantastic time. The owners were incredibly helpful and made us feel welcome. I cannot recommend the property enough!

  • "Everything about the venue was top quality."

We were particularly impressed with the maintenance of the hot tub, which was serviced/cleaned by the owners every other day, and emptied on our last day, to be freshly filled for new arrivals. There was extensive literature/leaflets about places of interest nearby, and DVDs for both adults and children. We liked the very comfortable 4 poster bed!

  • "The Old Barn is set in a beautiful quiet location and is well equipped for a 'home from home' stacation."

Our intention was to relax and unwind and do absolutely nothing. We did however walk into the village, approx 10 minutes and had a couple of drinks in the Crown Hotel before picking up our Indian takeaway from The Ganges and walking home. What topped it for us was the brilliant hottub and we took full advantage of it, probably 3 times a day. Mr & Mrs Lennox welcomed us on arrival and ensured that the hottub was continuously heated throughout our stay. Would recommend for a family stay although there was only the two of us.

  • "The Old Barn is situated a short walk from Bishops Castle which is a very quant and picturesque town, but with the facilities at the barn you don't need to leave the accomodation."

The hot tub was the star attraction but the property comes with flat screen Tv's, DVD's and games are supplied if it gets cold outside and the outside area comes with everything you could want for alfresco dining including bab. A great place for all just to chill-out and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, I would definitely recommend for families, friends and couples who want a home away from home.
