  • "Wow this place is AMAZING!"

! Me and 4 friends stayed here recently for 1 week and cannot wait to come back! The setting is spectacular and the private hot tub is lovely on the hill at night! Woodside cottage is immaculate and clean on the inside (never would have guessed it was a dog friendly place) kitchen has lots of utensils and it’s very nice to cook in. Beds are comfortable (not too soft and not too hard) pillows are nice and all of us slept well. It’s very insulated and we barely had the heating on. I especially loved how chickens and ducks walked around the farm thought our stay it added real character and we bought fresh eggs frequently for a very reasonable price. The farm also has sheep and a horse you can see which was really nice also! The cherry on the top for us was the beautiful star gazing platform and the 2 fire pits however! We loved toasting marshmallows in the evenings and really liked the more rustic fire pit under canvas in the forest. Our host Wendy was also amazing and nothing was too much for her, she made us feel very comfortable. My brother even lost his Swiss Army knife and she found it and is posting it out to us which is fantastic service!! The only reason I scored a little less for comfort was purely because it was a bit of a squeeze for all 5 of us to get on the sofa so we had to use dining room chairs! However we are 5 adults so it wasn’t unexpected. Would have also been ace to have a washing machine as we did get some clothes muddy! But again it’s nothing we couldn’t handle! Would 1000% recommend and can’t wait to come back. There’s also a Tesco close by as well as a Morrison’s for shopping (both are a short drive away) there’s also a nice Italian restaurant (La Terrazza Bistro) as well as pubs close by that do really good food! We recommend the Nags head for a good Sunday dinner!

There were extra touches eg eggs from chickens on-site. Wendy (owner) is on-site and very helpful. The cottage is in a lovely rural location with some great walks from the door.

  • "Lovely place, really spacious with everything you could need, hot tub location is amazing!"

We loved the whole site, was really peaceful. Only thing to note, make sure you turn the lights off when you go out - if not, the owners will let themselves in to do it (this happened to us when one of us was still in the property, bit of a surprise!)

Thank you for your lovely feedback. We are glad you enjoyed the property and the hot tub. We are sorry for the disturbance, we do normally do a check in visit to make sure everything was okay, after noticing the lights on and no reply at the door we wanted to make sure everyone was okay. We do hope to see you again in the future. Property Owner

  • "What an absolutely fantastic set of holiday homes!"

4 cottages set in a gorgeous farm managed by Wendy and Adrian who are just so lovely! Nothing is too much trouble! We stayed in Woodside cottage which had 3 bedrooms, there were 5 of us (3 adults 2 teenagers) and offered ample room! The facilities were home from home, I brought most things with me except a hairdryer which was the Only thing not at the cottage! Iron, board, cleaning supplies and kitchen/toilet rolls (not normally something expected in self catering accommodation), there is everything you would need in the kitchen, cooking utensils galore! The position and location of the farm is perfect to do as much or as little as you wish, from visiting local attractions, pubs to getting out in your walking boots heading up the the Kerry Ridge! The farm itself has 2 ponds for fishing, lovely animals to see, gorgeous wildlife in abundance with the luxury of lovely hot tubs in 2 of the properties as well as lots of nooks and crannies to sit and while away the hours relaxing! Thank you so much Wendy & Adrian we’ve had the best start to our new year helped by your gorgeous property!

Beautiful surroundings, hot tub the cherry on the cake, sitting under the millions of stars or surveying the stunning landscape in full mist then crisp dawn - magnificent. We needed a quiet break we got it in spades. Really comfortable beds, plenty of space, huge wet room, fresh eggs...... Wonderful. Plenty to see, location fantastic, nearly forgot the fishing, how could I, brilliant. Very happy to have found this perfect hideaway.

  • "The cottage was perfect for my parents and I to stay during their visit to Mid Wales."

My father is partially disabled, the facilities in the cottage made his stay much easier! The accommodation was very comfortable and it was lovely and warm. As it was Christmas time, the owners had decorated the living room with a Christmas tree which was very thoughtful. We also had freshly laid eggs from the hens for breakfast which were delicious. The owners were on hand for any queries and were extremely helpful! The local area is great for cycling and walking with the interesting towns of Newtown & Montgomery about a 15min drive away. We would definitely stay again.

  • "Wendy & Adrian are fabulous hosts, welcoming & friendly (but not at all intrusive!"

). The cottage was very comfortable and fully equipped and it was lovely to walk around the property exploring the ponds and viewing all the animals. A very peaceful spot with walks from the door. The covered fire pit was fantastic (sizzling sausages whatever the weather!) with a little walk through the woods making it an adventure for younger ones. Will definitely be back!

The other cottages look lovely as well, the grounds and ponds were good for walking the dog around. The location was central for sight seeing. Wendy was on hand to held with anything we couldn't fix or figure out ourselves!. Definitely recommend.

  • "Owners Wendy & Adrian were brilliant - very welcoming, friendly and eager to assist."

Nothing was too much trouble. The cottage is in a beautiful rural setting but with road good links on which to explore the area including the coastal towns. Was unfamiliar with the area but we would now like to return and see more. Accuracy/facilities listings were only marked down as the description listed a dishwasher and three wasn't one.
