The property

Cefn is a superb former farmhouse situated in the rural countryside, just outside of Aberangell, in Wales.

This fabulous detached property has been completely renovated for friends and families alike, to use as a base for exploring this wonderful area of Wales, with easy access into the Snowdonia National Park.

The interior has a light decor, with high-quality furnishings, while still retaining its lovely period features such as the exposed beams and stone wall.

Stepping into the property, you are greeted to a welcoming sitting room, with a large corner sofa, perfect for relaxing and unwinding of an evening with your loved ones, with the woodburning stove adding that lovely countryside ambience to the room.

Walk through to the amply equipped kitchen, with a delightful original stone wall feature, housing all the appliances you could need to rustle up a delicious home-cooked meal for the whole family!

From here, you step into an open-plan living space, housing a small dining area where you can gather to enjoy meals of an evening, or to plan the day's events.

With two sofas so you can use this area or the first-floor snug as a quiet space to read a good book.

Upstairs, there are two bedrooms: one double and one twin, with zip and link beds so it can be made into a super king-size upon request - ideal for all types of groups wishing to stay here.

The family bathroom is located on the ground floor, with an elegant bath and shower over to choose from.

Step outside to explore the large sloped garden, with fabulous countryside views, or take a refreshing drink to the patio area and bask in this picturesque setting.

Off-road parking is available for three cars.

The property is situated near the Dovey Forest, boasting a large mountain for biking and plenty of pathways for scenic walking.

Venture towards the bustling market town of Machynlleth for MOMA, the Museum of Modern Art, hosting a range of modern art collections, holding annual competitions and festivals.

A little further away is the expansive Cors Dyfi, a nature reserve boasting a plethora of walkways, with a swamp and wetland with nesting ospreys.

With easy access into the Snowdonia National Park, where you can discover a wealth of attractions, all within easy reach.

The small market town of Machynlleth sits amid the rolling hills of Mid Wales. The streets of the town spread out from the 19th Century clock tower, and offer a good mix of specialist shops, pubs, and cafes, in addition to the regular street markets held every Wednesday. The town boasts two art galleries, and is home to the Museum of Modern Arts, Wales, which showcases the work of a variety of international artists, as well as staging concerts and lectures in its 400 seater auditorium. Just ten miles from the coast, Machynlleth is also ideally placed for taking advantage of superb walking, riding, fishing and rock climbing available in the area.
