Outside this delightful cottage there is an enclosed front garden and rear garden with furniture where you can sit and relax with a refreshing drink whilst enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside.
When you visit the village of Llandinam you can see the home of home of David Davies (Broneirion) which is open to the public for prearranged visits and hire and provides a fascinating insight into one of the men who ‘made’ modern Wales.
The area is surrounded by stunning views and walks.
Llyn Clywedog is a lovely 3-mile walk away from Llanidloes, stretching for 6 miles and providing a rich habitat for a variety of wildlife.
Alternatively, walk along the River Severn in Hafren Forest or explore the Cambrian Mountains.
The area is superb for cyclists.
Further afield you can enjoy the beaches of Cardigan Bay, explore the Snowdonia mountain range and visit all the historic towns in the Shropshire Hills.
Powys Castle is just 20 miles away and well worth a visit.

Locally, there are plenty of activities to enjoy, with walking, cycling, riding, fishing, tennis, golf, swimming and shooting all available within 10 miles. Further afield, but still within easy touring distance, are a host of attractions: Powis Castle (National Trust), with its world famous gardens, is just 20 miles away; the Welsh Coast, with its fine beaches, is less than an hour’s drive; Rhayader and the Elan Valley are 40 minutes away; the Shropshire towns of Ludlow and Shrewsbury are within easy reach, as are the popular North Wales destinations of Llangollen and Snowdonia. A picturesque region, ideal for an action packed holiday or a relaxing break.
