Will certainly recommend to others and hope to stay there again ourselves. Thank you so much for your feedback. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay at our cottage and enjoyed the countryside around the area. It would be lovely if you came back again another time. Thanks again. Jane Ridyard Property Owner Reviewed by CaroleApr 2022 "A lovely cottage with everything you need to be comfortable." We had a very relaxing stay and so did the dogs with lots of great walking and cycling. The road out side the cottage is busy but it did not affect us as the cottage has direct access to the fields and foot path’s from the back. Thank you for your comments. I am really glad you had a relaxing stay and your dogs were happy. The field behind the house is certainly perfect to give the dogs some exercise. Thank you again. Property Owner Reviewed by AllisonMar 2022 "Lovely cottage, had everything you could need and more, including the best shower I've ever seen in a holiday cottage!" It is ideal for dog owners, the enclosed courtyard garden has a gate leading straight into a field and there are good walks around. Talgarth is a thriving little town and everyone is very friendly...I'd recommend this cottage to anyone. Thank you so much for your feedback. I am glad you enjoyed your stay and the cottage gave you everything you needed. I also hope your dog enjoyed the access to the field, I know our dog loves it and loves meeting all the other dog walkers who use the footpath. Reviewed by GlynAug 2021 "Overall, this was a good cottage with everything that we needed." It should be noted on the sales details however that this is on a very busy road (thundering, fast lorries!). Also that the parking is not outside the property and across the road and down a little way (not a problem but with children it may be). A couple of things for the owners to note; blackout blinds/curtains in the back bedrooms as this is such a bright room (lovely in day time of course), garden chairs of some sort to relax properly in for the garden (not just a bench and slatted chairs) would have been so nice in the good weather, the brown hanging vine thing above the fireplace is rather creepy, the bedding in the back bedroom could do with being updated (in line with the front bedroom). Lovely wood burner though and some really nice homely touches along with a great view of the field behind. comfortable beds (very soft) and everything you could need in the kitchen. Reviewed by TaniaJul 2021 "Nothing bad." Our second trip to this property, and probably not the last. Reviewed by AnnMay 2021 "You couldn't have wanted anything else in the cottage very clean tidy and comfortable excellent" Reviewed by ThomasSep 2020 "We very much enjoyed our holiday in Castle Green cottage." The cottage is a very well appointed house, beautifully furnished and with everything we could have possibly needed. The lounge has 2 comfortable sofas, a fireplace with wood burning stove (which we used), TV and DVD player, with plenty of DVDs to choose from. The TV has netflix (which we signed on to) but, as far as we could tell, it does not get the usual live channels and freeview (but that could have been our lack of technical abilities!). The kitchen is very well equipped too. We slept in the main bedroom, which faces the road. Although it is a main road, the window is double-gazed, and the road is not too busy, so it wasn't noisy. The bed is very comfortable and there are plenty of pillows. The bathroom is of a good size, with a powerful shower and a heated rail for towels. The cottage was superbly clean. On arrival, the cottage had some welsh cakes, milk and wine - thank you! The only aspect that could be improved would be to add on (or replace the current curtains with) black-out blinds or curtains. Eye masks were helpfully provided but we would have preferred to be able to get the room darker. Also worth noting for those with children is that the cottage faces the road, with no pavement to separate the front yard from the road. Although there is no garden, the cottage backs a large field with sheep that has a public path. It feels very comfortable to be in the property with a nice garden to sit outside in the dry or rain. Facilities are good, I was the first tenant, so not a surprise.
