The Welsh cakes and milk on arrival were a good touch. Being 5 minutes away from the beach was a bonus

  • "Nice to be greeted on arrival by David who made sure we got the keys and answered our questions."

House was perfectly located for us in a quiet section of town very close to the beach. House itself was very comfy with everything we needed for a family holiday, especially liked the 2nd bedroom being large enough for 2 teenagers! Would love to return and happy to recommend to others.

  • "Generally clean although some in depth cleaning is required in a few areas."

Photos on the website for the lounge and some other areas do not accurately reflect the property and I suspect that they were taken quite a few years ago. Basic facilities, furnishings, appliances and decor adequate but somewhat dated and tired' A refresh and restock of the kitchen utensils would be useful - ie cutlery, dinner plates, etc. We used the double bed and this was comfortable. Although the description details a barbecue in the garden for using, we were unable to do so as the grill was old and rusted. The garden furniture is dated too. The property is on a housing estate but despite this the location is very quiet and ideal for exploring the surrounding area with fabulous beaches and countryside.

  • "We arrived at the property at 4."

10pm but did not gain entry to the house for 45 mins as the owners had not finished getting it ready. We were disappointed to see that the lounge had different furniture from the photos and looked old fashioned. We could not find a remote for the Sky box so could not use it. The property had not been deep cleaned as there was dust along the skirting boards in the dining room (and cobwebs), the kitchen (windows and blinds were dirty/dusty) the toilet window cill was dirty as was the skirting board behind the door and cobwebs were present in the second bedroom and upstairs landing. I found a dead caterpillar under the rug in the hall! On the plus side the bed was comfy, loved the shower, the kitchen was dated but well stocked and the location of the house was perfect for walks along the beach. The rear garden was a sun trap but patio table was too small and was different from the one shown in photographs. Also the owners had planted vegetables in the garden, asked us to water them but told us to keep our dog out of the patch. Dave said he ‘may pop back now and then to tend the veg and greenhouse’ which we were not comfortable about. We felt that a veg plot in a holiday let is not really practical and we were uneasy that the owners might impinge on our privacy and therefore could not fully relax during our holiday.

  • "We would highly recommend this property."

The house was super clean, warm and comfortable. Beds were very comfortable, with lovely fresh smelling linen and good quality quilts. Sitting room was a pleasant space to relax in, with patio doors opening directly on to a suntrap garden. We have a terrier and it's a real bonus to have a secure fenced in garden. Garden furniture and Bbq were provided. Welsh cakes, tea, coffee and milk were there on arrival and the necessary kitchen sundries, such as washing up liquid, cloths etc, plus hand soap and sanitiser. Fabulous base for the beaches and mountains of Southern Snowdonia and we were fortunate enough to have weather wonderful enough to enjoy both. Cadair and Arran are both within easy driving distance, but you're surrounded by fantastic walks for all ages and abilities. Tywyn has plenty of shops for things you may need during your stay and the beach is a short walk from the house. The owners were extremely helpful, friendly people and provided lots of information about the local area, places to eat, handy shops etc. We had a super time time staying at Ty Meirion.

A few of the houses look a bit tired as you enter the road but ours was lovely. Jackie was very helpful. Would definitely recommend this property if you are a dog owner or have children as it literally is a stones through from the beach.

  • "Although it is called a cottage it's actually a house on what looks like a small council type estate."

The approach to it isn't what you'd expect for a holiday cottage. However once inside it is very comfortable and we were surprised at how quite it was. It's very conveniently situated for the beach and walking distance into the small town. The garden was very secure for our dog and pleasant to sit in. We would be happy to go and stay there again.

It as every thing you need all MOD cons, tywyn is a lovely place the scenery is to die for and the beach is fantastic on one side of the beach you are allowed to take your dog's on which you don't get in many places and free parking will definitely come back again.

  • "This property is located on a quiet housing estate, about a three minute walk from Tywyn beach."

The property is clean, warm , welcoming and well equipped. The furnishings are comfortable and the property is ideal for family use. There is parking for at least two vehicles, the wifi is excellent and the standard of furnishing is ideal. We found the beds comfortable, the shower room excellent and the kitchen well equipped. The location is perfect for those who require either a beach holiday or those who wish to explore the surrounding area, such as Cadair Idris, Bird Rock or to venture out on the Talyllyn light railway. We booked the location in March 2019, as we favour out of season holidays, and the property was ideal for our use. We intended to take our little dog, but unfortunately he passed away prior to the holiday, and although the property is pet friendly there was no evidence of pet hair, or a doggy smell! We love the location, and wouldn't hesitate to re-book in the future.
