  • "Lovely accommodation, not much to do in the local area, with limited places to eat if you didn’t want to cook."

Bar and restaurant closed on the second day with no notices displayed, food and bar was lovely when open though and staff were great. Told on the first day the tap in the kitchen was loose and a plumber would be round on the second day, never turned up for the duration of our stay. Hot tub was not very private. If you want a self catering, relaxing stay on site for a few days, then would be perfect. Shower was amazing.

  • "What a fab holiday we had at Owls Meadow."

From arriving to a warm, friendly welcome and leaving a week later feeling totally relaxed and wanting to stay longer. The accommodation was fabulous. Modern, clean and welcoming; a true home from home. Small things like hot tub towels, washing up liquid, tea towels etc. make a big difference when packing for a holiday. Set in a beautiful park with lovely walks, friendly, cheerful staff and fabulous coffee and cake at Arthur’s. So much to see and do in the area we didn’t have enough time for all we liked. We can’t wait to book again next year and are already looking forward to trying out the new swimming pool and spa complex

  • "Fantastic !"

! We had a wonderful stay at Owl Lodge. Lots of little extras that were really good - hot tub towels, handwash, washing up liquid and other cleaning products, ice blocks in freezer, handheld hoover, citronella candles to help with bugs. The lodge was very comfortable, very quiet environment, beautifully set in many acres of land providing lovely walks on site. Arthurs restaurant on site serves a fabulous Sunday Lunch, also great weekly menu, also stonebaked pizza is served at weekends from the little hut outside. Jonathan and his team were amazing, welcoming, helpful, friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The park is fairly new and has ongoing work to provide a spa, swimming pool and outdoor activities. It will be fabulous!! Would definitely recommend this property and we will definitely return.

  • "Thankyou Clive another great stay."

Thanks Clive for your info on fishing we had a great time. My only problem was when we was in hot tub no where to put a drink or hang towels up. Could do with a over hanging shelf on the panels and a couple of hooks to towels. Apart from that had amazing time. Thanks again Clive and also.lisa x

  • "Excellent site which is bearing fruits for investing in quality and not quantity."

Pools need to be bigger for carp anglers but will be fine for matchmen once stocked and pegged. Make prices available for want to be owners on van fees, site fees etc. Can't wait to go back, thanks Jonathon.

  • "The property & site are in a beautiful location."

The lodge was gorgeous, all of the interior was new, stylish and cosy. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The only feedback I can give (and this is being picky) is that it would have been useful to have a user manual for the boiler & oven but we figured both out in the end!

  • "The site was quite good but it wasn't for us as it was on a corner by the entrance and the site is work in progress so all vehicles had to pass the lodge there was also a noisy generator about 40 metres away which run 24 / 7."

The restaurant was OK but small portions and over priced

Owls Meadow is a fantastic base for couples or a family of four, thanks to its fantastic location and on-site facilities, which include the high-end Arthur's bar and restaurant, a children's playground, and picturesque woodland and lakeside walks.

Park-up in one of two off-road spaces, before unloading your bags and stepping into your new home from home.

Cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen, featuring a handy dishwasher, ready to enjoy over a celebratory bottle of fizz at the dining table for four.

If the weather is nice, why not make dinner an alfresco affair out the enclosed veranda, followed by an indulgent soak in the bubbling hot tub?

As the evening cools, retire to the plush sofas and enjoy the warmth of the electric fire as you settle down to watch your favourite show on the Smart TV.

Wash away the day in the gleaming shower room, complete with rainfall shower, before choosing from two beautifully-presented bedrooms to catch your rest in, a king-size with en-suite shower room and a twin.

For those times when you don't feel like cooking, take your loved ones out to the popular on-site bar and restaurant of Arthur's or the nearby Red Lion for dinner and drinks.

Trefeglwys also has a well-stocked convenience store where you can purchase fresh ingredients or any essentials.

Continue on to Llanidloes, where you can practise your swing at the famous St Idloes Golf Club or enjoy a meal at the well-known Whistling Badger.

Check out the Clywedog Reservoir on the outskirts of the village, where you can tour the intriguing Bryntail Lead Mine Buildings, spot the local fauna, or take in the stunning views from the Clywedog Dam viewpoint.

The Newtown Textile Museum, The Robert Owen Museum, and the Pwll Penarth Nature Reserve are all well worth a visit in Newtown.

The renowned Shropshire Hills (AONB) is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts looking for breath-taking views and wonderful walking and cycling options.

Be sure to check out the famous National Trust site of Powis Castle and Garden, the Wharf Powysland Museum, the nature reserves of Llyn Coed y Dinas and Whitehouse, and the Montgomery Canal Trail, all of which can be found in the thriving town of Welshpool.
