Rhydcaradog Cottages

Llanllwni 2.5 miles. A pair of semi-detached former farm buildings offering welcoming and cosy accommodation, set on the owner’s smallholding and surrounded by working farmland. These delightful properties are in a small valley down a farm lane, yet close to the popular village of Llanllwni and only 16.5 miles from the county town of Carmarthenshire. This lovely pair of holiday cottages have been transformed from original farm buildings, and individually furnished with comfort in mind. Both have split-level accommodation with well-equipped kitchens, dining areas, comfy sofas and seating, as well as solar panels and eco-friendly ground source underfloor heating. With shared access to a washing machine and a tumble dryer in a small laundry area, there’s no need to worry about getting hands on with nature and exploring as much of this rural countryside on foot as possible! As well as enjoying a communal lawn at the front of the properties with spectacular views, and the freedom to meander around the owner’s smallholding, each property also has its own small, but private, courtyard to the rear, fully enclosed with seating. These rural Mid Wales cottages benefit from being surrounded by glorious Ceredigion countryside in the west of Wales, which undulates across the country to the beautiful Cardigan Bay and with the National Cycle Route 82 running through there is no excuse not to explore it. The town of Llandysul is five and a half miles away, with everyday shopping as well as various local producers. A short drive and you will be in at Cardigan Bay, where numerous bays with sandy beaches and the popular Ceredigion Coast Path stretch in both directions. Nearby is the moorland-topped Llanllwni Mountain, with fantastic walks along the top. The mountain is bordered by the popular Brechfa Forest, which boasts fantastic scenery and numerous outdoor pursuits, giving you plenty of choice when planning your fabulous days out in West Wales. A perfect pair of countryside cottages, ideal for family, friends or small groups looking to get away in pretty, rural Mid Wales countryside, with the coast and stunning sandy beaches and National Trust properties just a short drive away.

The property

A former farm building converted into a semi-detached, split level cottage near Llanllwni Mountain, surrounded by undulating countryside in Mid Wales.

There is a shower room on the lower ground floor, adjacent to a sitting room with a dining area, and a dog-leg stairway leads up a few steps to the upper ground floor kitchen, which in turn leads out to an enclosed courtyard garden.

Upstairs, there is a comfortable double bedroom, a single bedroom and a separate basin and WC, making this a quirky, cosy get-away for three.

Outside, sit and soak up the sounds of the countryside in your private, enclosed courtyard to the back, or let the kids stretch their legs on the shared lawn at the front.

A wonderful getaway for couples and small families visiting Mid Wales.
