  • "Brilliant chapel/cottage in a beautiful setting and laid out very well inside - plenty of space for all of us."

Information about the cottage and places to visit were very useful. Would recommend (except the weather)!!! Although we found plenty to occupy ourselves round and about. We found the locals very friendly too.

Beautiful house with alot to offer, accommodated for everything we possibly needed. Friendly village with beautiful scenery and the nearest town is not to far. We will definitely be visiting again

  • "What a fantastic house!"

We loved everything about this beautifully-converted chapel and wouldn't hesitate to book it again. The area is lovely - a peaceful village with lovely scenery that made a perfect base for exploring this stunning area of Wales. The house was clean, big enough for a family of 7 and the 4 bedrooms had really comfy beds. The kitchen had everything we could need for a week and there were plenty of games and DVDs for rainy weather, which we had lots of. We used the bbq on the patio with the stream running by and had morning coffee on the balcony - when it was dry! The games room was well-used and we visited the pub/art gallery next door on several occasions. We visited Aberdovey, Machynlleth, Zip World, Barmouth, the Mawddach Trail, Dyfi Forest (beautiful walk), Dolgoch Falls, Dolgellau and the Mach Loop, where we were lucky enough to see planes training. We were reluctant to leave!

  • "Lovely property, would of liked to book it again for Christmas 2022!"

But is booked up. The only thing was the hot water when having a shower or bath run cold after a couple of minute's, I think that needs looking at. But would definitely recommend it if you are look for a peaceful time. Thank you

Thank you so much for your helpful feedback. We will get the boiler looked at this week and ensure that there is plenty of hot water in future. We are so glad that you had a lovely Christmas - the Capel can be magical! We will let you know if next Christmas’s booking changes. Property Owner

  • "Little bit difficult to find - I think if you give people the option to put the pub next door into the sat nav it may be a little easier."

Apart from that, this is the first time the group and I felt Christmassy going to the cottage! We had a gorgeous time.

  • "Perfect break made possible by Ceri and Stuart."

The house and facilities were perfect as was communication. The owners clearly wanted us to enjoy our stay, and we did. There was a plenty of information and suggestions for places to visit, eat and a history of the property. For those wet days when forced to stay at home there were plenty of games including a well equipped games room with table tennis, a projector and a Yamaha keyboard. Arthur’s labyrinth is worth a visit and you are just a short drive to Barmouth and Portmeiron. With walks on your doorstep with stunning views it was all we could ask for. Perfection personified. Thanks to both for allowing us to share your beautiful house.

Put met expectations as we have used Sykes many times before and always have high expectations due to the quality of the rental units they market, and this does not fail them - highly recommended if you wish to visit this part of Wales

  • "We had a lovely week at Capel Ebenezer."

It is a beautiful building with everything you need for your stay. Beds were very comfortable and the river running by the house was a very welcome break for the children to paddle in during the heatwave! We all loved the games room, plenty of table tennis matches had, and the storage room was very useful for bikes. The location is fantastic, Machynlleth is a short drive away for shops and restaurants/cafes. Couldn’t ask for a closer quiet village pub either…right next door, perfect! Not far from a number of beaches, lakes, waterfalls and lots of things to do. The hilly landscape is absolutely stunning. One of the highlights was being situated close to the Mach Loop, where the fighter jets train - incredible F-15 Strike Eagles flying right past the balcony…one of the highlights of the holiday!! Ceri was a brilliant host - very helpful and communicative. We really appreciated the baby equipment to make our stay a little easier and she even arranged for a DVD player to be delivered to the house for use with the games room projector. We would love to come back again in the future. Very much recommend.

  • "The chapel was nice, loved the fact it was right next to the river."

Comfy beds! Quite a remote village though. Owners of the pub next door are very nice, but pub doesn't do food. All in all a nice, comfortable holiday.

  • "A fantastic cottage, very spacious and perfect for our group."

There is a pub next door but don’t bank on getting any food there now, as they appear not to now do food, luckily we took provisions with us for our first meal, otherwise it’s a good drive to any other shops/pubs. The chapel is ideally situated for exploring the area, with so much to see and do, great beaches too. We would definitely stay again, Bedding was lovely clean and fresh, kitchen very clean with everything you need.

  • "A stunning and clever chapel conversion with all mod cons but super cosy, in an idyllic location - we couldn’t have asked for more!"

Just 15 mins to Aberdovey, we had a lovely time eating local ice cream on the beach. We did loads of fabulous walks from the door and within a short drive, suitable for young families and seasoned walkers. Each walk showed just what an incredible place Wales is - mossy gorges and noisy waterfalls appear out of nowhere! We loved the sheltered terrace for a G&T before sunset and family table tennis competitions in the games room. Superb, loved it. Thank you so much, we will definitely come again!
