  • "We came here as a group of two couples and had an amazing weekend!"

The accommodation was spotless, it was modern and absolutely beautiful. Every last detail had been thought about from tea and coffee and milk already being provided to ice cubes made up for us in the freezer! The surrounding area was breathtaking. Overall a fantastic stay and I have already recommended this to friends and family we will definitely return fantastic value for money.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Tan Y Wawr - Leah and her family were very welcoming, the Welsh cakes and wine were a lovely surprise!"

The views from the hut were outstanding, we spent a day in Shrewsbury which is a 40 min drive from the property, on the second day we explored Powys Castle and on the last day we had a wonderful massage at the spa. We spent every night enjoying the hot tub! We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful holiday!

  • "This was a beautiful cottage that looked like a Hobbit Hole."

It was such a magical stay, the kids absolutely loved it. The place is perfect for nature lovers. One morning we even woke up to a rabbit just outside our little window. And, just to add that bit of extra special, there’s a hot tub. Nothing like relaxing in bubbly warm water with those stunning views. I would 10/10 recommend this. I’ve already told all my friends and am planning when we can next come back.

  • "Beautifully kept."

Kitchen utensils made it very easy to find everything we needed. The sofa isn’t the most comfortable but I understand the use restrictions. Loved finding the board games. USB charging points would be useful. The hot tub was not heated on our arrival so we could not use it on the first day which was very disappointing as this was a strong reason for our choice here.

  • "Lovely accommodation."

Done out to a very high standard, lovely workmanship within the accommodation. Everything they’re needed for a short stay. Hot tub was clean and hot every day which was a plus. Lovely and peaceful area and only 40 mins from Shrewsbury and powys castle which was beautiful. The only fault really was we wanted to book a hot stone massage but we’re told that we couldn’t have one as there was not availability. When in the welcome pack it stated to contact and it would be accommodated. Apart from that lovely stay highly recommend

Thank you for your review we appreciate your feedback. Sounds like you’ve had a lovely time during your stay. We apologise for any disappointment caused due to lack of availability with treatments. It was unfortunate that we weren’t able to accommodate the dates you were after. We’ve taken your feedback on board and will bear in mind for future bookings. Thank you ☺️ Property Owner

We arrived a day late due to being unwell and were asked if we wanted to extend our stay at no additional cost. Wine, juice, milk and Welsh cakes on arrival. Comfortable beds and everything we needed at the accommodation to enjoy our stay. Treatments at the spa reasonably priced and great addition to our break. We would definitely recommend and would love to stay again

  • "Brilliant place, so quirky and totally private and secluded which we loved!"

Gorgeous spa treatment too. Unfortunately we had to leave a night earlier than what we had booked as both got bit (a lot!) either in the house at night, we had to have the windows open or while in the hot tub. Would be a good idea to provide fans in the hot weather and some sort of insect or fly repellent as there were a lot.

  • "Firstly, this property is absolutely beautiful and a lot of thought has been put in to make it comfortable."

We had a fantastic stay, the location is great for exploring and I would highly recommend to future bookers. There were only a couple of small recommendations I would make: some of the seating wasn’t the most comfortable to sit on, especially outside so may some cushions for these. The sliding doors caused a small issue on the first day when one got stuck on the runner and they can’t be opened properly from the inside as there’s no decent handle. The only downside of the holiday was the fact that I contacted the spa operator the week before to book a full body massage for me and my partner. They didn’t reply to any of my messages, despite having read them, and then when they finally responded (the day we arrived) they booked us for the wrong treatment which they only realised a few hours before it was due to take place. This was very disappointing and we decided not to go ahead with it, as it wasn’t what we had asked for. I would suggest a bit more contact when booking these things in future.

Leah was the best host keeping me constantly updated in regards to weather and access to the back road to the pod! Arrival was seamless with access to the key box and a bottle of fizz and Welsh cakes! Folder provided with all information on devices and even places to visit and take away services! Massages were a dream and we made the most of the hot tub in the snow! The only niggle was that the showers do not stay hot for longer than a few minutes and the sink in the bathroom closest to the kitchen did leak under the basin. Thank you so much I would definitely visit again!
