  • "We have just spent Christmas here."

The property is finished to a high standard and was immaculately presented on arrival, as well as decorated beautifully for Christmas. The owner was very attentive and easily contactable, and one minor issue we encountered was rectified promptly. The location is absolutely breathtaking and the views from the hot tub are unbeatable. The nice town of Llanidloes is a 15-20 minute drive away and has all the local amenities. We were also able to get a home delivery from Tesco. We will defintely be looking to book another stay here.

Pity that we could not use the fire . The facilities were excellent and the owner was very attentive to our needs . Keeping the hot tub topped up and in good working order. A child gate would be useful to put at the bottom of the stairs . This keeps errant animals from taking delight in going up them ! Well equipped , comfortable and warm . More cutlery would also be useful . We had a great time in this spacious and comfortable property.

The journey took far longer than expected but my goodness, the warm greeting and amazing accommodation made up for the long drive. As we opened the door, the warm underfloor heating and sumptuous decor made for a perfect home for the week. The beds are perfect and are so so comfortable. After arriving late in the evening, the next day we discovered exactly how beautiful our surroundings were. The scenery is breathtaking. Tescos delivered our supplies and Lestyn the owner came to say hello and was very very helpful, answering all our questions promptly. We have had a memorable holiday, with laughter and a fabulous family time. Thank you Lestyn and Elin we will remember this for a long long time.

The property itself was absolutely stunning and really modern. Every single room was beautifully designed and had everything you could possibly need. The location took my breath away regardless if it was raining or sunshine. Our Lily our dog loved the space to run a round and she adored the garden she was in her element. All you need to bring is food and drink everything else is catered for. Beds were comfy and the bathing facilities were super modern. The hot was lovely and the view stunning. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Peaceful and quiet. The owner popped in to make sure we were all okay. Great addition the hot tub. The beds were so comfy and the smallest detail had been thought through. The only small thing (and no biggie) is it would have been nice to have a vase for the flowers I bought, but I used something else. Otherwise all my friends and I had a wonderful peaceful weekend. The pictures do not do it justice. The views are stunning.

Every room is finished to a outstanding degree. And EVERYTHING is supplied. No need to take anything with you, but food and drink. The views are simply breathtaking, I spent half hour in the hot tub early mornings just looking around and was so relaxed. We met Iestyn and his daughter a couple of times and what a family, they can't do enough for you and pop up every couple of days to top up the hot tub, clear rubbish and just generally check you are happy with everything. A fire pit was added to the garden before we arrived and it just made the evenings that little bit better. Sitting watching the sun go down behind the mountain, with a drink with a nice fire burning. 100% my type of holiday! If looking at the stars is you're thing I'd suggest taking binoculars and the mid Wales sky is a sea of stars. I could of been out there hours with my 9 year old looking at them. The houes is "out of the way" but we were planning for this so we were happy to drive out when we wanted. Can not wait to go back some day. 10 out of 10 across the board.

The scenery was so calming and relaxing. The owner and his parents are so friendly and helpful. One day the owner a farmer came up to check everything was ok, they was shearing the lambs, he said we could go and watch, my husband daughter and granddaughter went to watch. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute we were there and even looked to extend our stay but this was not to be. The week we stayed we had amazing weather with pretty much wall to wall sunshine. The barn conversion is very nicely decorated and everything has been extremely well thought of. It has all the mod cons you would need for your stay. The wiFi is great and the bluetooth sound system fitted into the ceiling is an added bonus. The bedrooms are really comfortable and very spacious. Outside you have a view to die for where you are able to relax on the cushioned patio sets or on the wicker chairs near the hot tub. The night skies there are truly amazing as you are completely secluded with no light pollution. We only met Iestyn who ensured that we had everything we needed and couldn't do enough for you. Very nice guy and very personable. The only suggestion, and by no means a criticism, would be to have use of a bbq - especially when we were lucky enough to have such amazing weather. Without doubt, one of the best staycations we have had the pleasure to stay and will definately be making a return trip at some point. Just out of this world. Thank you for letting us stay.

I feel like that says it all! We absolutely adore Pennant Uchaf, it’s a fabulous place. Set in a beautiful back drop, in a wonderfully secluded place. The house has absolutely everything you’d need, the only thing you need to bring is your clothes and food. Iestyn is really helpful, and nothing is too much. Last year he even offered to rescue us from a flat tire despite being at home himself! Always happy to answer any questions we had, and direct us to the best walks round the area, and check if we needed anything through out the week. Even checking we were safe on our way home due the snow on our last few days! Facilities are excellent, we particularly enjoyed the log burner and hot tub. There is a pair of kites that were out a lot during our stay, and we immensely enjoyed watching, and the sheep around the farm as well. There is two very friendly sheep dogs who even took us for a guided tour round the farm and its fields, which we enjoyed immensely. Very lovely dogs! The hosts even remembered that last year was our honeymoon. It was such a lovely touch! Plus the bubbles! I could go on and on. It’s an amazing place, with absolutely everything you’d need. I don’t even think we left the house for a week. Beautiful walks on the doorstep. We absolutely adore our stays here and already counting down until we visit again!

The house is huge and very comfortable and warm. Everyone loved the hot tub and even though it was October we were in it every day. It is quite remote compared to what we are used to, but we bought food at Tesco's in Newtown and took it with us. There is a small shop around 15 mins away in Staylittle that sells necessities. We went walking along the nearby stream a couple of days and up round the hill behind the house. Great views. Wellies are a must. The farmers were lovely people, very friendly. We will go back there again.

Cleanliness and comfort in the cottage was top notch. Although the weather was unkind to us later in the week (but it was October so expected it wouldn't be great!), we enjoyed the hot tub on both good and bad days. Scenery is stunning, watching the sheep, kites and buzzards from the outside areas was very special. The wi-fi is excellent if that is important to you. Not sure about other grocery brands, but we got a Tesco delivery to the door, which was a must for us due to the remoteness of the location. Definitely recommend and we will be booking again! To sum up - on or first evening there, I said to my partner that the cottage soothed us, and the surrounding countryside cuddled us, and it continued to do that for the whole week.

We were greeted with a card from the hosts wishing us well and explaining how the hot tub was ready for us to use. Anything we needed, the host was ready to provide. Due to poor weather on one of the days, there was a power cut, but even this was sorted in no time as the host provided a generator instantly. The decor/ furnishings were finished to the highest standard. I can not think of a single thing I would improve in this house. Anything that would make your stay as comfortable as possible was already in place for us. The water pressure was 10/10, which is always an added bonus.
