  • "What a fantastic weekend we have had at Fisher Granary."

So much so that we looked to book again whilst we were there. Family of 7. Kids range from 7 to 20 and all were happy. Property is clean, good size. Owners property is opposite so any questions or problems are sorted in a flash without them being imposing. Kids loved the wii, ps and xbox as downtime after full days out. Huge garden was fantastic. Views are stunning. Picnic bench was perfect for outdoor breakfast and evening drink soaking up the sun. Welcome basket was well thought out. Paul and Debbie are welcoming and easy to talk to. Mycroft the owners dog is the most gorgeous boy ever and you'll totally fall in love with him. Ideal location for beaches and places to visit. Cannot wait to return.

Paul, the owner, was friendly and very welcoming. Thank you to Paul's wife for freshly baked scones, mid-week too. The cottage was lovely, clean and spacious. The living room was cosy, the sofas were great to relax on and watch films on the cinema screen. The beds were very comfortable. A really peaceful and quiet location. The property

Fisher Granary is a link detached cottage located in Lampeter, Ceredigion.

When you step through the front door, you are greeted by an open-plan kitchen and dining area with seating for up to eight people.

The kitchen has high-quality black worktops and white cabinets which house all the appliances you could need during your stay.

Along the hallway is a spacious living room with a minimalist-style decor, and a selection of leather settees and armchairs for comfortable seating, as well as an electric fireplace and Nintendo Wii for all the family to get involved.

You will also find a modern ground floor family bathroom with a choice of a freestanding bath and a walk in shower.

Upstairs has a king-size, a double and two family bedrooms, both of which contain a double and a single bed.

All bedrooms have sloping ceilings, TVs and plenty of storage space, with one family room housing a PlayStation and the other family room having an Xbox, ideal for children.

There is a first floor shower room, so you don't have to run downstairs in the middle of the night.

Outside there is a lawned garden close to a small river and the small water wheel.

There is also a large field for guests to use.

Nearby, you could visit the Vale of Rheidol Railways, a narrow gauge heritage railway, opened in 1902 and running for almost 12 miles.

It has first class carriages and an audio tour through the hillside woodlands.

Or venture towards Devil's Bridge Falls, with its perilous-looking stone bridge viewpoint for a waterfall that plunges into a deep, wooded gorge.

Also nearby is Cardigan Castle, overlooking the River Teifi.

It is a Grade I listed building and dates from the 11th century, though it was rebuilt in 1244, and makes for some magnificent sightseeing.

For the more artsy types, visit Aberystwyth Arts Centre, a community centre which hosts arts performances with workshop spaces including pottery.

It has a theatre, concert hall, studio and cinema, as well as four gallery spaces and cafes, bars and shops.

Fisher Granary is the ideal property for friends and family to gather together.
