fantastic accommodation and location.
fantastic accommodation and location.- Mr Barlow, September 2020
“There should be a warning on the listing about the low ceiling height in the kitchen and the steep offset stairs to access it.”
I am only 6ft tall but could only stand upright between the beams! There should also be mention of the fact that the toilet is 2 floors below the bedrooms! We were a little disappointed that after having had 8 hours to clean the property the table was still sticky and bedroom draws had dust in them. Though we were pleased to find we had been left a few dishwasher tablets. The cushions on the outdoor seating had been left out and were all wet on our arrival. The checkout procedure was different on the email we were sent and the guide left in the property, which was confusing. The main issue we found with the property was a problem with the drains. When either toilet was flushed the shower and bath plug holes would do a small fountain display! Clearly an issue somewhere which needs fixing!- Mr Godden, August 2020
Perfect location and so many local amenities. Would definitely go back.- Mrs Bowes-shorten, August 2020
“Well equipped and comfortable cottage with lovely outdoor space in delightful town .”
Great location with plenty to do nearby .- Mrs Eastwood, July 2020
“Immaculately clean cottage in a great location.”
Some great pubs in the town for a Super Sunday Lunch. Would return.- Mr Court, October 2019
“The cottage was superb, immaculately clean and had everything we needed.”
Best shower I've ever had on a cottage holiday! The garden is area was lovely, spent hours watching the birds on the feeders. Location great, close to the town and in easy reach of Barmouth. All in all it was excellent. Thanks for a great holiday.- Mr Nutter, October 2019
“Great cottage in a fantastic location.”
Very clean and well presented. excellent walking from the door and local pubs for good food and drink. Beautiful area to explore. Cant wait to get back.- Mrs Stevens, October 2019
“Great cottage, superb location, immaculately clean and lovely welcome pack of butter, milk, cakes and crisps.”
Very steep ladder steps to the kitchen made life difficult - this wasn't clearly explained in the description. Great place to stay if young, fit and healthy. If older, less mobile or suffering from health problems then not ideal!- Mr Harrison, September 2019
“It is a very well appointed beautiful cottage.”
Very clean with excellent facilities.- Mr Murthy, September 2019
“The cottage is a bit tardis like, and much bigger than it appears from the outside.”
Very sympathetically decorated and super cosy. The owners have thought of everything to make guests stay enjoyable, with a great selection of games. The layout is quirky with the stairs down to the kitchen and back door. Dolgellau is a lovely town and very dog friendly. Loads of walks close by and lots to do locally. We had a really lovely week, and would recommend the cottage to anyone visiting the area.- Mr Palmer, August 2019
“Extremely clean and well equipped the vendor had thought of everything very ...”
Extremely clean and well equipped the vendor had thought of everything very comfortable, Dolgellau was very beautiful and brilliantly situated for Snowdonia National park- Mr Gooderham, August 2019
“Location and quality of the cottage”- Mrs Stevens, June 2019
“Listing wasnt accurate.”
no roadside parking plus information was left out regarding wooden steps/ladder down to kitchen, meaning our dogs needed to be carried down multiple times a day.- Mrs Kelly, May 2019
“The cottage is lovely and cosy.”
We had a lovely welcome pack which included Hot cross buns, Easter cakes Welsh cakes, chocolate M and Ms, malt loaf there was also small bottle of milk in the fridge. This was at Easter so all these treats was a lovely surprise. The cottage has everything that you can wish for Beds are really comfortable and the whole cottage is really clean. If I had to pick a fault the steps down to the kitchen and outside are really steep. The dogs did struggle but we got used to them after a few days and also the dogs did as well with a little help from us. Parking can be awkward but we managed to get space behind the cottage 2 mins walk. This would not put us off from booking it again though. Outside is lovely the decking and outside furniture is lovely to use, which we did as we had a few hot days. Dolgellau itself is beautiful and it has enough pubs and places to eat so you don't really need a car. Loads of places to walk. We usually only have breakfast in the morning and eat out on the evening. This cottage was so nice and weather gorgeous that we actually made tea at the cottage with a few glasses of wine and ate in. The Torrent Walk Hotel is a fantastic place to eat. It's a great pub and very reasonable priced. We went here twice in the week and both times excellent. The owner of this cottage texted us on arrival stating a light bulb had gone and that it would be done asap. This was changed and the owner let us know it had been done. Although we did know but she kept us up to date with this and was very good and welcoming. Thanks for a great week here and we look forward to booking again.- Gee, April 2019
“The cottage was exceptional, it was beautifully appointed in every way, with attention to every detail and everything needed that could be forgotten by the guest, thought of and supplied.”
Also a very lovely town in a beautiful part of North Wales with so much to see and do. Very happy with our experience.- Miss Price, April 2019
“Lovely cottage which was very comfortable and very good location for all the amenities of Dolgellau which has great restaurants and bars.”
There are plenty of walks and bike rides so little need to use the car.- Mrs Morgan, March 2019
“The owners of the property were so lovely and ensured everything was perfect for our holiday.”
The property was beautifully clean and very welcoming. Honestly felt like it was our own home.- Miss Hartshorne, February 2019
“The cottage was lovely, clean and well maintained in a very good location.”
The ladder to the kitchen/ outside was difficult as we couldn’t take the dog to the garden as we had expected to be able to do. Most of this trip was spent with my elderly parents so I was very thankful that these 3 days were not as they would not have been able to get to the kitchen! This situation should be explained in pictures and description prior to booking and arriving as there are many people who would have not been able to access the kitchen due to age or mobility. We loved the area, the village was beautiful and great walks and the owners of the cottage have made it as welcoming and comfortable as possible.- Mrs Armstrong, February 2019
“The cottage was right in the heart of the town, well equipped, and the communication with the hosts was excellent.”- Mr Stewart, January 2019
“We had an amazing time at 4 Cader Road.”
It was very clean and spacious. The town it’s self was fabulous and we were only a minute walk from here. We loved the fairy lights and all the books and games that were within the property. We also loved the terrace as we had lovely weather during our stay so we were able to really enjoy it! Beds were comfy and the sofa was a great place to relax. The only thing I would say is that there is only parking out the front of the property overnight as there is a restriction in place during the day, you’ll have to find parking all day down the side road to the left of the property (if looking at it).- Webber, August 2018
