This charming secluded detached wooden clad eco cottage is situated in a remote rural location, in beautiful Powys countryside in the heart of old Radnorshire, next to a stream, 3 miles from the scattered hamlet of Glascwm, 2 miles from Colva, 12 miles from Builth Wells and 10 miles from Hay-on-Wye.

Set beside a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) with views to the Black Mountains, this spacious Mid Wales cottage boasts exposed beams and a warming woodburning stove to provide an ideal base for a family holiday.

The large open plan living area at this Radnorshire cottage offers a breakfast bar, dining area, a delightful sitting area and French doors that lead to the patio, garden and paddock.

There are two ground floor bedrooms at this Mid Wales cottage, with one offering a wonderful king-size four poster double bed with dressing room, en-suite wet room and lovely views of the surrounding countryside.

Also on the ground floor is a family bathroom with spa bath, plus a lovely spiral staircase leads to a mezzanine floor, where you will find a sitting/play area and two single beds.

Outside this Powys eco cottage is a pretty enclosed patio area with furniture, BBQ and child's sandpit, plus the lawned garden boasts a large hot tub, from where you can relax whilst admiring the views.

This Mid Wales holiday home is surrounded by hills and miles and miles of open countryside, much of which is unfenced common land, providing many lovely walking, biking and riding routes from the doorstep, plus the Offa's Dyke footpath and for horse riders the Bryngwyn Riding Centre and Free Rein riding stables in Clyro are close by.

A little further afield are the towns of Hay-on-Wye, often described as 'the town of books', Kington, known as the 'centre for walking', and Builth Wells, with its traditional pubs, individual shops and theatre and the Brecon Beacons National Park is within easy driving distance.

This excellent Glascwm eco cottage is the perfect base for exploring nearby market towns, historical sites and the beautiful Mid Wales countryside, or just a place to get away from everyday life and enjoy full use of the lovely hot tub.

The scattered hamlet of Glascwm, dating back to the 6th century lies in beautiful unspoilt old Radnorshire countryside, 12 miles from the market town of Builth Wells, in Mid Wales. From here in old Radnorshire wonderful walks and rides can be enjoyed in the surrounding hills, where wild ponies can be seen. Horse riding, mountain biking, fishing and kayaking are all available in the local area, whilst the town of Builth Wells with its individual shops, traditional pubs, cafes and tea rooms, and Hay-on-Wye, known as the ‘town of books' and home of the internationally renowned Hay Festival are nearby, and well worth a visit. Just 10 miles away is the market town of Kington, which is located just over the border in Herefordshire and boasts many excellent shops, a butchers, pubs and restaurants. Just a short drive from Kington are the tourist attractions of Hergest Croft Gardens and Tea Room, the Small Breeds Farm and Owl Centre, the Mortimer Trail, Offa's Dyke Path, the Judge’s Lodgings at Presteigne and the Offa’s Dyke Centre at Knighton. The Brecon Beacons National Park, home to the highest mountain in Mid Wales - Pen-y-Fan, is close by and offers the keen walker and avid cyclist spectacular scenery with stunning waterfalls and caves, along with many traditional market towns, ancient monuments and castles.
