  • "Outstanding accommodation, perfectly placed, a couple of minutes' walk above lovely Cwmtydu cove."

Heaven for dog(s) with coastal path, woodland walks, rivers, streams and waterfalls. Once you arrive, no real need to take your car out again, except for provisions or exploring further afield. Very impressed with heat pump, underfloor heating and top quality Welsh wool mattress and duvet, and proper bed linen to aid deep sleep after hikes along the coast. Truly peaceful. Owners' welcome pack and detailed information much appreciated too.

Thank you for your kind comments. We are glad you enjoyed your stay so early in the year. Property Owner

If a client phones with a problem it would work best to receive a phone call back or if they text , a text or if they e mail then an e mail, that would make sure quick resolution and satisfaction of problems .

We completely agree with your comment but we are [still] unaware that you phoned our Agent's Office at all. Our message was sent to you on Tuesday evening using the new Sykes App just to let you know that we were aware that the reliable internet was suddenly down, and then to confirm less than an hour later that this had been resolved. The pictures do not it justice as the view is beautiful, and the attention to detail inside is 10/10. A great place to retreat when the weather isn’t on your side or relax after a day walking or on the beach if it is. Very spacious, peaceful and quiet.

Thank you for your comments . We've now set up a Dolwylan instagram account that has more photos of the views and beaches nearby which compliment those shown on the web-site. Property Owner

  • "What a lovely place to stay ."

Peaceful and surrounded by nature .The front patio is a real sun trap not that we needed it as the weather was perfect . Inside the barn was cool which was good for the dogs . The beach is so close with a stream so the dogs don’t drink too much sea water . All kitchen facilities were there and it was a welcoming homely place . Usually on holiday we can’t wait to get home to use a decent shower or kitchen but not this time . Looking forward to our next stay thank you .

It was a beautiful setting, the cottage was really comfortable, a lovely conversion, and had all the facilities needed for a fortnight.

Thank you for your generous comments. Dolwylan is in one of the less-developed valleys in Ceredigion and we love its wonderful coastal position. We're glad you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

Beautifully presented and particularly liking the attention to focus on sustainability - on people and planet before profit and this comes across well. We had a wonderful week at the barn and would highly recommend.

Thank you for your feedback. We have added directions to nearby fragments of native temperate rain forest that are so rare within the UK. Property Owner

The converted barn is stylish and comfortable. It has been recently renovated and there's a wonderful mix of modern facilities, with new and tastefully vintage furniture and accessories. The location is so peaceful, perfect for walks and quiet family time. Do plan ahead in terms of shopping - it's quite a drive even for a pint of milk - and don't expect a phone signal (although there is great wi-fi). That's exactly what we wanted!

Thank you for your kind comments. It is a lovely spot with superb views, walks and beaches and several small supermarkets a 10 or 15 minute drive - closest 3 miles Property Owner

We had a very nice time. Lovely walks straight from the barn on the coastal path. The underfloor heating keeps it nice and warm in winter. The EV car charger is a great addition and worked flawlessly for us.

We are delighted you had a good time so early in the year, and that the updated instructions for the EV charger were clear. Property Owner

Although happy to cook, many nights I would have preferred to prepare things faster as there are not huge amount of options in the area to eat out! Decent sized modern wine glasses would also have been a welcome addition. No complaints - we loved our week & will stay again

Thank you for your feedback. There are several award-winning pubs and restaurants in the area; Croes-lan, Tregaron, Aberaeron, 2 Michelin stars at Ynyshir near Machynlleth [top-5 in the UK], 1star at SY23 in Aberystwyth, and closer, plenty of other eateries that we enjoy. • "The barn is beautifully decorated and furnished."

The setting is quiet and peaceful, it’s a steep 5 minute walk down to the shore where we saw a seal swimming in the evening. Perfectly located for walks along the coastal path - we used the bus to go to Llangranog and then walked back. The dog loved it. It would be useful to have an airing rack to dry towels/ wet clothes on.

It is a lovely spot. The airing rack is stored under the stairs; we will add an inventory with locations to the next update to the Welcome Book. We hope to see you again soon. Property Owner

  • "Stunning, just stunning."

Everything about this cottage was just perfect. The attention to every detail was amazing. The loveliest thing that really touched me was the provision of a dog bed and bowl for the dog, just so thoughtful. The bed was so comfortable and the linen was crisp and cool. The sofa is comfortable and the living room is cool (we had a warm week) yet homely and cosy, it went a bit cooler on our last night so we had an excuse to light the fire, it was just wonderful watching the flames and chilling on the sofa. The showers (both of them) are amazing. The kitchen is lovely, airy and extremely well stocked for everything you need to cook. We had planned to eat out a few times and eat in the rest of the time, if you do the same I would advise you to bring food with you as the nearest shop of any size is a little way away. There was a really nice welcome pack waiting for us when we arrived. Now to the location. Wow, wow, wow. You can see the sea from the living room window. The garden is very natural and my dog loved it and claimed it as her own. There’ are rabbits on what will be the lawn when it is grown which is lovely to see. It is very quiet here and you can’t see let alone hear anything from the neighbouring caravan site. The walk to the lovely little beach takes a couple of minutes and there is a cafe down there. The sunsets are spectacular from the sofa in the living room. The lanes getting down here are very narrow but you soon get used to them. Lots of little beaches, villages and towns nearby. If you decide to come here then I promise you that you will not be disappointed. We definitely plan to return.

Loved it. Shares space with the cottage next door,so perfect for a family and or friends to share the two properties. A beautiful location, quite a way from any shops,so go with plenty of supplies.Bakery at the Crossroads to New Quay, amazing cakes, pasties, etc, all fresh baked, delicious. Cwmtdyu a charming cove,we saw seals, and walking the Coast Path dolphins. It was fabulous. If you love to walk, then the area is walkers paradise, our dog Wilf had a wonderful time,as we did.A local bus operates so you can walk one way then get the bus back, which is much appreciated after a long walk.We are in our 70’s,the coast path is challenging in places, but the views and scenery are well worth the challenge. Thank you Dolwylan for a holiday to remember.

We are pleased that you enjoyed the area and the Barn. We will add a grading to the walks listed in the welcome book to distinguish between those that are easy and straightforward and those which are less so. We hope to welcome you back to Dolwylan next year Property Owner

  • "This is an amazing cottage!"

A perfect location for walking the coastal path and relaxing far away from the crowds. It’s located approximately 5 minutes from the small bay, There’s lots of lovely responsibly sourced branded personal and cleaning products. So often there’s insufficient of these in rental accommodation that I’ve learned to take a pack with me. There’s a lovely welcome pack with a small carton of milk, bread and Welsh cakes, as well as a few basics for cooking eg cooking oil, pasta and seasonings. The welcome file is very detailed and informative. There’s A small washing machine which is very useful. The kitchen has been very well thought through, spacious, both bathrooms are lovely. The bed is very comfortable. Again, so many places don’t get the beds right. The garden outside is a work in progress, as it would be for any brand new property, however the wildlife is amazing. Lots of rabbits and wonderful birds to listen to. There is a mobile caravan park/mobile home just below, but you’d never know it, it’s been so quiet even during the end of May 1/2 term/platinum Jubilee celebrations. My personal recommendation is to bring with you a few days meals and food basics, as there’s no where immediately available to purchase these items. There’s a lovely ice-cream parlour about 10 minutes walk down the hill, near to the beach. It’s been so good, I’ve booked to come back in October 2022!

Thank you for your comments.and we look forward to welcoming you back later in the year. The garden continues to bed in and we have added directions in the welcome letter to the nearest grocer/supermarket/ATM/off-licence which we thoroughly recommend Property Owner
