  • "When we arrived the freezer was completely frosted over."

There is no handrail on the stairs and as the toilet is downstairs It was awkward as I go several times in the night. I found it difficult to light the open fire as no kindling was provided, only firefighters which took several attempts. There is no information as to where the fuse box is so when the light when out there was a problem. I phoned the emergency number but could not speak to anyone but had to use the ap which was difficult

Thank you for your comments. We have added the location of the RCD consumer unit to our welcome letter but we would be grateful if you could let us or our Agent know which appliance caused the circuit to trip and whether it was one brought with you. RCD's are far safer and sensitive to faults that might not immediately blow a fuse in a traditional fuse board. I am glad we were able to quickly resolve the issue. A handrail is planned to be installed next month. We supply a starter pack for the fire. Apologies if the kindling was missing. Defrosting the freezer between changeovers is difficult but it has now been defrosted. We hope you enjoyed your week in our stunning valley. Property Owner

  • "Such a beautiful home with a beautiful beach within a 5 min walk."

We loved our stay here, the view was beautiful, it was very peaceful, the log fire was a special touch too. We felt very at home, cosy and safe. Other beaches, villages and attractions within a short drive too. There is a caravan park close to the property which the photos hide, and at the end of the driveway there is another rental property. One improvement for us as dog onwers would be for the access between the two properties to be gated/fenced maybe? We had to be really on top of stopping the dogs wandering to next doors garden as they also had a dog - maybe something about garden not been enclosed could be added to description. Either way, I'd love to visit again! Beautiful. Thankyou

We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. The gardens are enclosed but we haven't erected a dog proof barrier between the properties as this would affect the stunning views. The mobile homes in the valley below are not intrusive. We look forward to welcoming you back.. We've now set up an instagram account for 'dolwylan' that has more photos of the views and beaches nearby which compliment those shown on the web-site. https://www.instagram.com/dolwylan/ Property Owner

  • "We loved Dolwylan."

The decor was well judged and the house very well appointed - every time we wondered ‘I wonder if there’s a…’ sure enough there it was. The area was wonderful and our girls loved the pebbly beach. The caravan park nearby (busy when we were there) was a little unexpected and isn’t represented in the clever photography of the property. However, we had a lovely time and adored the house and its setting.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear you liked the Cottage and enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "Such a beautiful cottage."

Amazing sea views, from the terrace. A great location for alfresco dinning. The interior design was perfect. Such thoughtful details. The sheep were an added bonus! Lovely to know the barn is so close, would be easy to rent both properties at once for larger groups. Great location for all the local beaches and walks.

We are pleased you enjoyed your holiday and look forward to seeing you again next year. Property Owner

  • "Hello - We had a lovely time at Dolwylan Cottage."

Perfectly happy with our stay. If are your looking for issues to improve the outdoor chairs look a bit old and not too sturdy. Also the rubbish arrangements were clear enough but we only found the one official council bin bag for the recycling. Once we'd put it out for collection on Wednesday we needed to buy our own for the remainder of the week. Do the council only supply /collect 1 bag per week ? Thanks, Dave.

Thank you for your feedback and we are glad you had a good week. This is our first year and we continually look to improve the facilities at Dolwylan; an upgrade to the garden furniture is on the list. There should be an ample supply of bin bags under the sink; the council do supply additional bags but these need to be collected. We will add this information to our Welcome letter. Property Owner
