  • "Hi, This is a feedback for the listing as opposed to the property."

When I am on a holiday I do not expect to take the trash out. This is something that needs to be made clear before booking, not after we get to the property and find about the "property rules". I had booked a hottub holiday before with sykes and lots of other hot tub holidays with others, but this is the first time I have found rules to take the trash out. I will most likely not be using this service again

Our property doesn’t publish any “property rules” and we don’t ask guests to take out the “trash”, that’s entirely their choice . However the property does only have one large bin inside the kitchen and the recycling bins /large wheelie bin are located to the side of the property as we do encourage our guests to recycle where they can. • "A lovely relaxing stay at Pentre Fach."

There are 2 other buildings in the valley so quite isolated. There's an interesting drive up over the hills to get to it including herding sheep along the way. Accommodation is just what we needed and a bonus with the hot tub. More storage for clothes would help in the kids twin room. The sofa's need a little updating too. An extra shower and toilet near the hot tub would have been just perfect. Everything you needed for the kitchen was included and it was lovely waking up to the sheep and cows in the morning (although watch out for the flies). Many thanks for a great week away.

Waking up to views and sounds of the farm, cattle and sheep was restful and many nights were spent sitting under the stars relaxing in the hot tub. The owners/farmers, Gareth and Julie, made every effort to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Should there be any issues, Gareth and Julie live nearby and are kind and supportive. For us, we were unable to operate the TV and Gareth promptly arranged a visit to assist us. For us, the only negative point was when I had difficulties paying for the holiday online, and so telephoned Sykes, they then increased the cost. We found this rather upsetting. Despite this Gareth and Julie made sure we had a lovely, restful stay and we would highly recommend Pentre Fach.

Correspondence with relevant information was forthcoming from both Sykes and the owners of the cottage. The cottage itself is beautiful and is set in the most amazing surroundings. It is very well presented and the owners have literally thought of everything. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise and the hot tub a wonderful added bonus. There is plenty of wood for the log burner and we were surprised to learn that this would be replenished free of charge if required. As a family we needed some time to regroup and recharge and we were able to do this perfectly here. We had a lovely relaxing break in the peace and quiet amongst the sheep, squirrels, hares and birds and not to mention the views which are absoloutely spectacular. The hosts are so friendly and helpful and nothing seems to much trouble. The only problem was we didn’t want to leave!! Would highly recommend this property and we most certainly want to come back!

From the surroundings and the cosy warm vibes of the lodge it is the best place to unwind, catch up and explore the fields / mountains of mid Wales. The lodge has great BBQ facilities and a wonderful hot tub to unwind in. I don’t think there’s anything to be disappointed about it’s everything you see in photos and more with an added personalised tour of a working farm should you wish. Everything from the welcome pack, to the board games and the free view. Julie and Gareth had great communication and it was lovely to meet them both and see them as they tended to the farm. The hot tub was a highlight for our family, as was the excellent wifi (always essential for kids!!) The location was so beautiful, the only noise was from the new lambs that popped by to say hello. Our intention was to explore the area, but we felt so relaxed and at home we didn’t feel the need to venture too far...maybe next time. After a year of looking at the same four walls this was the perfect break for our family, so thank you.

  • "Pentre Fach is a lovely barn conversion and the owners are so kind and helpful."

The hot tub is a treat we were here for 3 weeks Fresh water change was done weekly which I felt was great. I Feel the cottage could benefit from some new utensils as the knifes and scissors were blunt and there were not enough glass for 6 people, cottage sleeps 6 but only 3 Prosecco glasses etc also a nice big saucepan would have been useful when cooking for a large family. These are only small Suggestions And had I have asked the owners whist there I know they would have been more than accommodating as nothing was a problem for them and they would have been happy to help. Being in the country flies were an issue for me the owners again supplied us with fly paper and spray etc but if the doors were open the flies were in plenty! (I spent a lot of time killing and picking up flies). The beds and bedding were lovely and comfortable and we had fresh bedding and towels brought every week the upstairs rooms were very hot as they are in the roof of the house I was certainly glad I planned ahead and took fans or it would have been unbearable on really hot days especially as I was reluctant to open windows Because of the flies coming in. The games and swing ball in the garden were a lovely addition and there was plenty of garden furniture to sit and enjoy the outdoors. All in all we had a great time here and that was down to Julie and Gareth for helping us feel so welcome there. I would highly recommend A visit to Llandrindod well Lakes which is only a 25 minute drive we spent most days there are the kids enjoyed the fishing which is free to under 16 (take your own equipment) lovely play area for the little ones and a cafe serving beautiful food for great prices.

your feedback is appreciated and we will of course sharpen the knives and scissors that are in the cottage. There were plenty of glasses available including pint glasses, tumblers, wine glasses and plastic wine glasses for use in the hot tub. In total there are about 15 different glasses of assortment. There were only three Prosecco glasses available however given that the booking was for 2 adults we felt this to be sufficient. These glasses have now been added to and we have also bought a larger saucepan to go with the four others already in the cottage. We know that the guests stayed at a time when the weather was beautiful but very hot and as we are located in the countryside we do get flys which guests who live in towns aren’t used to. We felt we supplied the guests with adequate fly paper and spray but we are sorry that the flies did cause upset however we felt this was outside of our control. A fan was provided in the cottage for the hot weather. e than accommodating with added extras. We are grateful for the positive feedback and glad that you had a great stay with us Property Owner

The owners were always there to help if needed or just chat yet only came when asked. Julie and her family are lovely people, and have wonderful kids. Gareth is fun to talk to and speak about farming, checking on the water and chlorine levels daily (which means driving 7 min from his home to sort it out)!! Will be going back again soon as for me the best thing about this place is the views and tranquility which all should experience. We went with a party of 6. 3 adults and 3 children all who thoroughly enjoyed the experience of the 7 nights. As I said earlier the cleanlines of the property is very high and I thoroughly recommend this fantastic accomodation to anyone who wants a little bit of peace and quiet.
