  • "Lovely property."

Would like to stay again. Close to pubs, centre of town and shops. Land lady very supportive. All in all a good place to stay.

  • "We had a lovely break at this property."

It was both clean and well equipped. Though we didn't meet the host, she made a great deal of effort to ensure our stay was excellent. The property is well located and perfect for further explorations along the coast.

  • "Cosy place to stay."

Had great week. Has everything you need. Beds very comfortable. Be aware the property is on 4 levels if you have trouble with stairs. Otherwise highly recommend.

  • "Cottage had everything you could need for a comfortable stay, and is ideally situated to explore southern Snowdonia."

Only thing to be aware of is parking is at least a 5 minute walk down the road, but you are just a few metres from Dolgellau town centre - historic towns weren't designed with parking spaces in mind!

  • "Super location in a quiet street close to the town centre."

The house had all the facilities we needed for a week’s comfortable stay. Lynette is a welcoming host and she soon popped round to sort any problems. Dolgellau is a lovely place to stay - interesting old buildings, shops etc. We did some wonderful walks and explored the beautiful area. In the house, we coped ok with the steep narrow stairs but it wouldn’t suit some people, especially with the bathroom being on the second floor. Parking was on a nearby street, and this might be more difficult in high season. The town long stay car park is expensive - £11 for 24 hours in September 2021.

  • "Quaint - but homely at the same time."

Position in Dolgellau is ideal for all the town's amenities and mountanous countryside and beautiful beaches are a very short drive away. Everything you would hope to find in a home was there and the cottage was beautifully clean.

  • "Good location in walking distance to places to eat."

The town is so much nicer than the busier nearby resorts. Good base to explore the surrounding areas. A little noisy in a morning but that is to be expected being closer to the town. This didn't disturb our stay though. Lovely house over 4 floors, bedrooms a nice size and very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Owner very friendly and helpful.

  • "Great place to stay in a lovely town with plenty of places to eat and/or drink in easy walking distance, even in these challenging Covid times."

The kitchen/diner with its amazing slate floor was perfect for coming back to after long walks or autumn visits to the beach with the dog - so much choice around for outdoor things to do. Plenty of space for our family of 4 adults (plus dog) and our host could not have been more helpful - such as turning on the heating before we arrived and bringing more equipment for an already well equipped kitchen. There are a lot of stairs (as of course there would be in a 4 floor house) - this was clear from the listing - it concentrated the mind not to leave something in the top bedroom I wanted to take out!! Good powerful shower too. We struggled a bit with the wifi but there was a consistent strong 4G signal, so we had internet access no problem. Parking was a short walk away, but seemed very safe and no problem to get a space on the road each day. Thanks for a much-needed break! Would fully recommend.

  • "We had a lovely time here and the owner gave us a call to see if everything was okay."

She was very open to the feedback. I would suggest that your listing highlights the steep, narrow stairs as older people, like us, could find them challenging as we did. The house is well equipped with everything you could need during your stay. It is ideally placed to go to the coast or higher into the mountains of Snowdonia. Adequate shops in Dolgellau with an especially good butcher. Would certainly go back again.

  • "The house is very lovely throughout especially the kitchen and bathroom."

The living room area would benefit from some modernising and the patio set is way past it's best. No seat cushions for outside on the first day but this was all sorted by day 2. Excellent communication from Lynnette and overall a great stay just a few things would make it more comfortable.

Fully stocked and clean. Good personal interaction with owner. All really good and feels safe in these times. Small bunk room. Possibly two small kids only. Parking best on Cadr road few minutes walk. Long stay too far.
