Dolgoch Mill Cottages

A trio of cottages on the site of the village mill alongside the babbling stream of Nant Bargoed, nestled around a courtyard in the small hamlet of Drefelin, close to the popular village of Drefach Felindre. Offering cosy and intimate accommodation, each of these characterful cottages have been furnished to ensure you have a comfortable and peaceful stay and are set alongside the owner’s home in the main mill house. These terraced cottages are furnished in a traditional and cosy manner with light and airy, well-equipped kitchens and separate living rooms with comfy seating to relax into after a day exploring the fabulous local countryside, all with TVs, electric fires and WiFi. These rural West Wales cottages sit in a wooded valley at the convergence of three streams that flow into the River Teifi. A myriad of footpaths criss-cross the area and the surrounding countryside opens up fabulous days of walking, cycling and visiting some gems of a golden era, such as the nearby National Woollen Mill. The River Teifi is renowned for excellent fishing and has some fabulous riverside towns and villages as it meanders down to the coastline. You are equidistant between the riverside market town of Newcastle Emlyn, with antique shops, cafés and restaurants and the rural town of Llandysul, perfect to browse a few shops and relax over a coffee. The coast is less than half an hour’s drive away, with a selection of pretty harbourside towns, such as the seaside resort of New Quay, famous for its resident dolphin population where you can catch a sightseeing boat trip, the fabulous sands of Penbryn and the little coves of Llangrannog and Cwmtydu. There are various outdoor activities with canoeing on the Teifi in nearby Llandysul, fabulous cycle trails in the Brechfa Forest that leads out onto the heathland topped Llanllwni Mountain and great opportunities for walking locally or along the coastal paths linking the little coves and sandy beaches. A perfect trio of Teifi Valley cottages, an ideal base for couples, groups or a small family looking to make the most of the fabulous wooded valleys, fantastic West Wales countryside while being a short walk to a bustling village and close to the beautiful coastline of Cardigan Bay, rich in quaint harbour side villages and enthralling wildlife.
