“Beautiful character cottage set in an idyllic location.”

Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The owners left us a lovely welcome pack and were very helpful and friendly. One of the nicest places we have stayed in for a while.

Dolgoch Mill Cottages

A trio of characterful cottages sitting within a converted wool mill, alongside a babbling stream and nestled around a courtyard within the hamlet of Drefelin and close to the popular market town of Newcastle Emlyn. These well-equipped, rural cottages sit amidst a wooded valley and offer cosy and intimate accommodation. They have been furnished in an inviting and coordinated manner with light and airy, well-equipped kitchens and separate sitting rooms with comfortable seating to relax into after a day exploring the fabulous west Wales countryside and coastline. They all have Smart TVs, DVDs, WiFi, central heating and access to the shared gardens and wonderful views that surround the cottages. All the holiday cottages have their own unique identity. The cottages are equidistant between the riverside market town of Newcastle Emlyn with its antique shops, cafés and restaurants and the rural town of Llandysul, perfect to browse a few shops and relax over a coffee. Within walking distance are pubs, a convenience store and the National Wool Museum. The coast is less than half an hour’s drive away, with a selection of pretty harbourside towns, such as the seaside resort of New Quay, famous for its resident dolphin population where you can catch a sightseeing boat trip, the fabulous sands of Penbryn and the little coves of Llangrannog and Cwmtydu. There are various outdoor activities with canoeing on the River Teifi in nearby Llandysul, fabulous cycle trails in the Brechfa Forest that leads out onto the heathland-topped Llanllwni Mountain, and great opportunities for walking locally or along the coastal paths linking the little coves and sandy beaches. A perfect trio of Teifi Valley cottages, each an ideal base for couples, groups or a small family looking to make the most of the fabulous wooded valleys and fantastic west Wales countryside, while being a short walk to a village and close to the beautiful coastline of Cardigan Bay, rich in quaint harbour side villages and enthralling wildlife. A myriad of footpaths criss-cross the area and the surrounding countryside opens up fabulous days of walking, cycling and visiting some gems of a golden era, such as the nearby National Wool Museum, also the site of one of only a few working wool mills. The River Teifi is renowned for excellent fishing and has some fabulous riverside towns and villages as it meanders down to the coastline.
