  • "The most disappointing Sykes holiday to date for us, the cottage was cold and thermostat fixed on low and no logs for log burner."

there were 2 contact numbers 1 discontinued, the other no answer all week still not contacted us. the cottage was really unclean with cob webs everywhere curtains covered in dust, greasy pan in oven microwave unclean, the access to cottage was not as described could not get my car through entrance it said anything smaller then range rover more like a push bike or fiat 500. had park down narrow lane and walk to cottage in fain with luggage. Overall suggests effect was end of season and couldn't be bothered with standards. Would not recommend this property unless walking or cycling.

  • "Sadly we were disappointed the cottage was really not clean."

Bowl under sink full of water and black mould. Areas of the floor dirty. Stair banisters dusty. I took photos as I was shocked. It just smelt fusty not fresh. The grill pans a bit greasy. The description of car access was not accurate it is quite difficult to get in- possible but difficult. If done regularly one might get used to it. This caused us a problem as my husband is disabled. We were disappointed with Sykes

  • "Very difficult trying to get into parking place."

After we armed we saw notes in book on where to park. Would be good to recieve this beforehand.

  • "Lovely house, but the description of the entrance was wrong about being able to drive a range rover up there, my husband has an audi A3 and could just about get in, so we parked it up the street opposite."

The tv is not a smart TV, just a normal TV with freeview.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll get the description changed, it was supposed to say “Range Rover Evoque” as this can be driven in with care but without trouble. I have reversed my pick-up in but needed help to direct and it does take time! The drive is 8’ wide. You are correct, the TV is not smart, I had missed this when editing the copy - sorry. I do hope neither of these issues spoiled your stay. Property Owner

  • "Lovely, quaint cottage with lots of character features (loved the inglenook!"

). A perfect base and such a beautiful area to explore. A couple of things went wrong of our own doing (lost key and left an item behind). The management of Pant Heolog could not have been more friendly and helpful. They rectified our problem with the minimum of fuss. Will definitely be back next year! Thank you :-)

Diolch yn fawr iawn - thank you! Property Owner
