Just back after spending a week at Ty Madog, and is definitely one we will be going back to. Family of 2 adults, 4 kids and 2 dogs felt quite at home here. The cottage is well kitted out, and there wasn't anything that we needed or that we thought could have been different, was nicely decorated, clean and we were very pleased. Angela came to welcome us on the day we arrived which was a really nice touch and offered us the opportunity to go to see the farm - we just ran out of time to take her up on the offer. So much to offer around the Elan valley that this was an ideal location - a short walk to the visitor centre, a longer walk to Rhayader or plenty of places within 20 mins drive to go hiking if you want to go further. A 2 minute walk out the cottage, down toward the hotel, cross the road and you're on the foot/cycle path for safe, car free walking or cycling.
