  • "Lovely property and very helpful owners."

Beautiful surroundings with lots of walking trails. We used the pool every day which was fabulous and lots of fun, even unheated. Great for lots of outdoor activities.

  • "A wonderful property in a stunning setting with good hiking and running routes straight from your door."

The pool was lush and the grounds were beautifully maintained. There was 10 of us in total including a baby, toddler and nana. There is a ground floor bedroom which limited need to walk up stairs for nana, although the steep drive was a challenge for her. You can however park right up by the front door, if you a have a small car as it quite narrow.

  • "The house is in a beautiful setting, with a footpath in the grounds and others nearby, including the bridge walk to Barmouth, which was a real highlight for us."

The house was very secluded, spacious and comfortable, and when we had to contact the owner with a few issues - which are inevitable with an old building - her response was swift and much appreciated.

  • "Place was clean and tidy when we arrived, they kept in contact with us regarding a a couple of things, they are very helpful."

Very spacious and relaxing place, pool was clean, could do with something to heat the pool, good for walking. We would definitely go back, good for a chilled weekend with the girl, weather made it even better.

  • "The property was warm and welcoming when we arrived."

Most of it was very nice tidy and clean with the exception of the bedroom with the bunk beds, which had dirty towels left on the clean sheets and few rooms with dirty carpets. All and all it was a great house to stay in, very comfortable and cozy with plenty of areas to walk around was well. We all loved it and probably will go again in the near future!

  • "Enjoyed our stay, it was our second holiday there, love the house and the location."

Well placed for trips to other places we wanted to visit. The steep driveway would be a challenge for anyone with mobility problems other than that we would recommend it to anyone.

  • "We had an amazing time at this beautiful house, will definitely book to go back."

I would recommend to take some food with you as didn’t find much in regards to supermarkets. We went to climb snowdon which is about 1.hr 10 minutes drive north. But what a lovely homely house to return too. Very steep hill up, so if you have a disability would need help taking your stuff up To the house from car. There was 9 off us and plenty of room in the house. Defiantly a house to escape a hectic life and relax. Carnt wait to rebook and go back

  • "The property feels as if you are living in a proper welcoming home."

There is a wonderful selection of books and games for all ages, and interesting pictures. The pool, although unheated was great for the enthusiastic swimmer and the local beach at Fairbourne worth the effort of clambering down the pebble defences for the stunning views and good swimming. The local shop there sells basics and Dolgellau has proper butcher and 2 supermarkets. The extensive grounds are wonderful to explore. The owners are really helpful if you have any problems. Snowdonia is a stunning area to visit abd explore.

Plenty of space for 10 plus a very active dog. The pool is a nice addition and provides lovely evenings and days. The house is situated out the way but with easy access to walks and local towns only a short walk away.

  • "Amazing location and a very comfortable house."

A real home from home. Plenty of room to spread out or cosy up in front of the log fire. The swimming pool area was lovely and we spent our afternoons around the pool with a barbecue. Why not heat the pool and charge if required ? That would make the experience 5star and better for some family members who dislike Very cold ! water. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

  • "Apart from a broken cafetiere everything was great."

Would only recommend for people who are fairly able bodied as there are lots of steep steps in the grounds and the isolation of the house meant it was a good walk to shops at Barmouth or Fairbourne or a drive to Dolgellau. This was for us one of the charms of the location. We also liked the fact that there was plenty of space for a large party to get together (7 people in our case) and at the same time places where one could be alone!
