  • “Had the most amazing week away accommodation was spot on, the views and sunsets were stunning.”

Great hosts and Connie the dog was so cute. Would reccomend swallows rest as the perfect relaxing getaway with plenty to do in surrounding areas, one highlight for me was conquering pen y fan.

The property

Lampeter 4 miles.

This beautiful cottage, adjacent to the owner's property, set in rural West Wales, is a peaceful retreat, perfect for a small family looking to relax and enjoy the great outdoor attractions nearby.

Swallows Rest boasts a stone brick exterior and beautiful slate roof tiles, these traditional materials continue inside and as you enter the property, take a moment to appreciate the slate floor tiles and the dark wooden beams in the property.

The living area is open and light with the kitchen sitting central in the space, making it perfect for catching up with loved ones whilst enjoying a family meal around the dining table.

Cook up something tasty in the modern kitchen, which has everything you’d need from a dishwasher to a large free-standing fridge/freezer.

To the left, walk up a couple of steps to the main lounge and rest in one of the luxurious leather armchairs while you catch up with your favourite TV shows.

Looking for some peace and quiet?

Make a cup of tea and head over to the opposite side of the kitchen, where you can sit back, relax and look out over fantastic countryside views thanks to the large window in the second lounge.

Outside, indulge yourself and relax in your very own hot tub situated in a secluded spot on a terraced patio, look out over the green countryside and unwind.

Upstairs, there is a twin room and a double bedroom, which are both beautifully decorated with a coffee and cream décor perfect for winding down at the end of the day in a calm and relaxing space.

Across the hallway, there is a family shower room, with modern, light grey marble-effect tiling and a large shower cubicle, which is finished to a really high standard.

Just four miles away is the small town of Lampeter, with plenty of shops, local cafés and bars.

Cyclists can venture to Abergwesyn Pass, to conquer the Devil’s Staircase for a steep adrenaline-pumping ascent through dense forests and open valleys - a perilous journey of many twists and bends.

The coast is not too far, and with popular destinations including Aberaeron and Aberystwyth just a drive away, you have plenty of day trips waiting to be had!

Swallows Rest is a beautiful property, perfect for a family looking to explore what West Wales has to offer.
