  • "One of the best holidays ever."

    Cottage was exceptional. Just wonderful.

  • "This cottage is in a fantastic location and only 4 miles from Twywn."

Fantastic views and so quiet and even has a bus stop across the road. When we arrived we walked into a warm log fire all prepared so we wouldn't be cold when we walked in, great customer service. The farm next door was in the middle of lambing season so we got to see tiny little lambs running around the fields as we opened the curtains each morning. We would definitely recommend and given half the chance would go back tomorrow.

  • "Lovely cottage located in a small village within driving distance of local beach and tourist attractions."

Had a fun packed week of walking and exploring snowdonia. The cottage was very cosy and plenty of room, with great outdoor space. neighbour who manages the rental is very friendly and helpful. would definitely recommend as a base for exploring Barmouth, snowdonia and local Tywyn with the lovely beach. My only recommendation would be to upgrade the mattress as uncomfortable after a few nights.

  • "No WiFi which is fair enough but no Mobil Coverage either."

Stairs were narrow, slippy and my husband struggled with them. Dvd player didn't work, we reported it to lady next door as instructed but she wasn't interested. Conservatory wasn't cleaned even though it was the only place to sit and eat. Oven looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months. Bread bin had remnants of previous occupants bread in. Windows were dirty and cobwebs not swept. Such a shame as its a nice cottage and lovely area to stay.

  • "Wonderful location and enjoyable even with contrasting weather and temperatures."

We went from wood burning stove to all the windows open in this week before Easter. So much to do in the area to suit all ages and we took advantage of tourist attractions plus stunning miniature railway ride to Fairbourne beaches. Loved the jam and cake stall - just down the road. Cottage was spotless and roomy enough for three adults plus one child, who loved the garden with swing and summer house. Neighbours were really friendly and so helpful too. Lack of phone signal and WiFi were the only disadvantages but the breathtaking scenery and relaxing setting more than compensated.

  • "Really lovely cottage with adequate facilities for a family of 5."

The conservatory and garden was a great extra space. We felt it was great value for money and would definitely go back. If we were being really picky the beds were a little uncomfortable and the shower quite weak. But we all had a great time. The cottage was clean and well looked after. It would have been good to have some more information about local faciltites and what to do about the recycling as the only notice on the kitchen wall was a bit vague and we couldn’t find anything to put the recyling in.

  • "I feel you should point out that the stairs are vey steep in the cottage and also slippy."

If they were carpeted it would have been easier.

  • "A lovely area for a peaceful break."

The cottage is fairly comfortable, warm and cosy and spacious for 3. The garden is an added bonus with plenty of space too. The village is situated a few miles from the coast and there are many scenic walks in the area.

Hoping to rebook for next February. Very cosy cottage with helpful neighbours/ caretakers in a peaceful location. One small detail - more recycling bins needed.

There was also some nice local produce.

  • "The area is one of the most beautiful in the UK."

Within 10 minutes of the cottage you could be walking along side of a waterfall in Snowdonia, on a sandy beach or sitting in a beer garden with a stunning view over a lake with mountain views.

  • "The cottage was fantastic, better than we expected."

Lovely ambiance, well equipped, had everything that we needed. Snowdonia is also very beautiful, and despite the rain, there were so many things that we were able do. The ride on the steam train, the walks, the beaches, and the colours of the hills and meadows made more vibrant in the rain, waking up to the sounds of sheep baaing, doing things as a family, all give us happy memories that we will always treasure. We will certainly inform our friends and families of our experience and we hope to come back again.

  • "The cottage is placed close to many attractions in Snowdonia including the beach."

It is a very silent place to enjoy the nature. Even on rainy days the cottage has everything to feel comfortable. We (family with 3 children) had a great time there.

It was really cosy! Minffordd Cottage also had a delightful conservatory that we made a lot of use of and a pretty garden that we sat in a few times. All in all a great success and the standard of the cottage exceeded our expectations. Thank you!
