  • "What an incredible holiday home."

Immaculately clean. We felt at home as soon as we'd arrived. This is probably the best holiday home we've stayed in. A fully equipped kitchen which really good quality trays etc. Alot.if holiday homes lack this. Location was beautiful. Looking to rebook when a little warmer so we can use the garden more. Eirian was really lovely and the perfect host. Thank you for a fantastic holiday.

Loads of thoughtful details, such as dishwasher tablets, washing pods, bin liners all provided. Also a draw full of walking maps and books which we gratefully used. On arrival there was milk in the fridge as well as a lovely Welsh loaf cake and Welsh butter. Couldn’t have had a better stay. Thank you so much.

The cottage is a true home from home with many well thought out amenities and comforts which made it a lovely place to base our selves for a great stay in North Wales. The owner, Eirian, was genuinely friendly and always in hand if we need advice and went out of her way to help us choose the best things to do in a week that was far too short. So that means we must come back and spend some more time in Maes Mellion and we really can’t wait . Incredible cottage, fabulous hospitality and spectacular views from the garden. What more could you want!

Beautifully maintained and equipped and very comfortable, spacious, quiet, roomy. Totally enjoyed our stay - we come once or twice yearly to the Dolgellau area and have stayed a few times in Brithdir as it is a perfect base for many great walks. This was by far the best property we've stayed in over twenty or more years of visiting from SE England. Many thanks to the kind owner.

It was in a perfect situation for our purpose of doing the Mary Jones Walk from Llanfihangel to Bala over five days. The well-equipped kitchen was a bonus and the detailed instructions very helpful. "Welcome" food items provided by our friendly and helpful host were much appreciated. Minor irritations such as the sticking bathroom door (noisy in the night!) and duvets that were too thick for our comfort in the mild weather, could easily be corrected. All-in-all a very good property that we would love to rent again.

We enjoyed a wonderful week in April at this property - enhanced by lovely sunny weather! The garden backs on to fields which were full of new born lambs bleating and birds singing - it was just so relaxing! The kitchen at Maes Meillion is the best equipped we have ever experienced in a holiday cottage. The whole property has been lovingly presented by Eirian, who is on hand just next door should you need her (very friendly but certainly not intrusive). If you are into walking and cycling - there are plenty of options to cater for all abilities - all within a 20 minute drive. We wish Eirian every success in her new business venture (though we would prefer this place to remain a secret, as it is bound to be fully booked after all the positive reviews being left!)
