"Fabulous property, very spacious, light and airy with fantastic views - especially from the strategically placed chair on the landing."
It is situated just a 10 minute walk from the lovely Llandanwg beach. The house is very well equipped and a folder provides instructions and information on everything you may need. The toys were an unexpected surprise and well used by my granddaughter (so much so it was a job to tear her away to go out!) Absolutely beautiful gardens with plenty of seating. The locally made Bara Brith left for us by the owners was one of the best I have ever tasted (and I’ve tasted a few in the 40 years I’ve been visiting Harlech!)
If you are looking for a comfortable “home from home” for your getaway then Rhos Wen is the place to go!

"We loved this holiday cottage."
It felt like home and was a great base for exploring Snowdonia and North Wales. The beds were very comfortable and the whole cottage was clean. There was a lot of space for the family to relax and enjoy the spectacular views over Shell Island and the Lleyn Peninsular.
The garden is small, but lovely and is fully enclosed for dogs (although there is a low gate which some dogs might be able to jump over). The smart TV and Wii were loved by all the guests, cuddling up on the sofas in front of the wood burning stove. We also loved the many games, books, jigsaws, toys and DVDs which were available. The kitchen was well stocked and has a large fridge and freezer, as well as a washing machine and coffee machine.
They only negatives were that we had trouble fitting the plates and bowls in the dish washer and found that the oven trays were a bit greasy - not great for us vegetarians as they smelt of meat! Also, we were a bit disappointed that the telescope was not in the cottage, despite it being in the photographs. But, despite these few niggles, we had a super holiday at Rhos Wen and will definitely be booking again!

Lovely couple and resolved the blind problem and showed us how to work the microwave!
The property was excellent, bigger than the photos show, everything was perfect. Not surprised it's a popular property

"Great location, a bit of a walk back from the beach after having fun with two young grandchildren, but not too far, and it meant they were hungry for their tea cooked in a well equipped kitchen while they played with the games that were provided."
We had a lovely week that was definitely enhanced by staying in a great house.

TO THE TUNE OF "MEN OF HARLECH"
Folk of Britain stop your dreaming
Visit Rhos Wen where it's gleaming
The welcome there had us beaming
Once we got inside
A toast unto your cleaner
Her efforts were much keener
No dust or dirt
Your eyes to hurt
We didn't even need the vacuum cleaner
The view from there was quite astounding
It really got our hearts a'pounding
'Til the storm left us floundering
By the fireside

"The holiday cottage was lovely - plenty of room, nicely decorated and very comfortable especially the beds."
Perfect location for walking to the beach and not too far to the other attractions in the Snowdonia National Park. We enjoyed many scenic walks courtesy of the National Trust. We appreciated the welcome pack on arrival and loved the view from the kitchen and dining room. Some good local eateries on the doorstep, otherwise a very well equipped kitchen for dining in. The place was spotless and has a good COVID 19 action plan in place. Wished we could have stayed longer.

"Lovely clean home, excellent communication with the owner on arrival day, and into the holiday when we had car trouble, owners couldn't be more helpful and the neighbours lent a helping hand too!"
lovely welcome pack on arrival. no concerns with covid as changes have been put in place, re hand sanitiser within the property and fogging between guests. Had a lovely stay very handy for 2 beaches within walking distance, also visited a nearby waterfall which was amazing. Blackrock sands not too far away and ideal as you can drive on the beach and take as much as you want with you in the car. Near to Portmeirion Village too. Would rebook if we go to this area again.

"Rhos Wen is one of the nicest holiday cottages my friend and I have been to, within easy reach of many stunning places both coastal and inland."
As other people have said it was lovely to find bottles of wine, cake and milk waiting for us, and a vase of Japanese Anenomes on the window sill. It is exceptionally well equipped, with basic cooking stuff like oil and salt and spices, as well as cutlery, crockery, pans etc. which was great for the few times we cooked. We loved the small conservatory, which was ideal for relaxing in the late afternoon and evening after a day out; great views over the sea and some spectacular sunsets. We enjoyed watching the birds on the bird feeders which we filled up twice during our stay. The lounge and bedrooms were comfortable and spacious, as was the bathroom. There was nothing negative at all! We'd recommend it to families, as well as adults, as there is an amazing collection of toys and games. (PS the owner was very helpful when we had a minor problem with the television)

"The holiday home was really home from home, with a fantastic selection of kitchen equipment, including cleaning materials, that often fall short in holiday lets."
We enjoyed comfortable beds, and had a plentiful supply of extra bedding, and towels. The cosy living room led onto a bright and airy dining room, that offered beautiful far reaching views across the bay .
The location was just right for us, with access to stunning beaches, wonderful views and good local eateries.
Last but not least, a big thank you for the thoughtful welcome pack of milk, cake, wine and doggy treats, and to Luke for recommending the Grapes Hotel tasty ribs!

"Set in a quiet cul-de-sac with lovely view of the sea from rear of the property."
On arrival we had been left a bottle of milk, cake and a bottle of wine which was a lovely gesture from the owner. The accommodation was clean and tidy and well equipped. The beaches were a short drive away and my niece loved going rock pooling on the nearest one to the property. Easy access to Harlech only a 30 minute walk or a short drive away. We had a 3 night stay and this was not enough time to explore all the areas, but we cramped as much as we could in visiting Bamforth, and local places to eat, we would happily stay here again. The weather was dry but not sunny and I can imagine that the scenery would be amazing when the sunshine’s.

"The cottage is spacious and comfortable, nicely decorated and in a great location."
It is probably the best-equipped cottage we have ever stayed in, it made such a pleasant change to find a kitchen with proper sharp knives, decent cutting boards, good quality pans, lunchboxes, cleaning products and some cooking basics like olive oil, salt, pepper and spices. We appreciated the wine, milk and cake waiting for us on arrival. The beds were very comfortable and it was nice to stay somewhere with a king size bed for a change! The walk down to the beach was short, but steep! Good for building leg muscles! We stayed in March so the log burner was very welcome and we used it every evening.

"Great house, easy to manage, perfect for a holiday (it ‘works’ really well) with all the basics there that you sometimes find you have to buy (e."
G. sandwich boxes, loo roll, tin foil, washing up liquid etc ...) as well as some really nice personal touches (fishing nets for kids, couple of bottles of wine, lovely Bara Brith, milk in the fridge).

"A well appointed cottage with everything you could wish for."
Appreciated the well stocked basics such as kitchen roll and the clean , fresh condiments and spices were a help with menus. The decor is attractive and areas are well thought out.
One comment is that there is a large shower but no bath. There is ample room in the bathroom to have had a good sized bath with shower over. However, this is only a comment, not a criticism to detract from a comfortable cottage.
The views from various parts of the house are wonderful.
