Lovely welcome pack as we don't drink wine we asked and got changed to fresh milk, we even got fresh eggs from the farm, best ever. The Roast Ox Inn is also a very friendly welcoming place, with great food. Great views and very tranquil, place to end each day in the hot tub, thank you.

  • "We had a fantastic week at Lundy Lodge!"

The lodge was great, lovely and clean and everything you needed was there. Our two dogs loved it and it was great that they could be outside with us and had plenty of space to run around and be safe and secure. Great, quiet location for exploring mid-Wales. Would love to come back sometime and would highly recommend to others. Hosts were really nice and friendly. They were also flexible around our departure time, as unfortunately our vehicle broke down the day before and we had to wait for a replacement vehicle to be delivered before we could leave.

  • "A great place for a break if you want to get into the real countryside."

Fine views over the Begwyns and beyond to the Black Mountains from both the house and the hot tub with plenty of sheep close at hand for company. The lodge is newly built and well proportioned and stocked. Worth eating out at the Roast Ox at the bottom of the hill (15 minutes walk) but booking ahead seemed to be needed.

The lodge was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you need and more. The whole lodge is furnished to a very high standard so it does feel like home from home as soon as you step through the door. The hot tub is a fantastic facility with amazing views and can be used in all weathers !!. There was a lovely generous welcome pack waiting for us which included a bottle of wine and a pack of Guinness which was very well received, thank you Matt & Pam for a perfect stay and for being the perfect hosts. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and would love to return in the future.

It is ideal for people who enjoy quiet and walking yet it is quite close to interesting small towns including the bookish Hay on Wye. The owners are friendly.

  • "We had a lovely holiday at this amazing lodge."

We really enjoyed our stay here. It has been thoughtfully laid out and equipped with everything we needed to self cater and the welcome snacks and bottle of wine was appreciated. There is nothing better than using the hot tub or sitting on the terrace with a drink watching the wildlife and just soaking up the Incredible view. On a couple of cooler nights we lit the log burner and enjoyed the luxury of the lodge itself. A really blissful week.

  • "Lundy Lodge is amazing!"

It is a beautiful lodge in a beautiful setting. Matt the owner is a smashing guy who came up to see us when we had settled in. He is very helpful and lovely to chat to. We had lovely weather with the odd thunder storm storm thrown in! It was so peaceful looking at the view and birdwatching. There were some 'big boy' sheep in the field next to the Lodge who meandered around the field much to the annoyance of our dog as they ignored her when she 'shouted' at them. There is a great pub at the end of the lane. The welcome from the owner and barmaid was lovely. We have stayed in some great places over the years but I can honestly say that Lundy Lodge is the best. We will be booking to stay again.

The hot tub was amazing and the lovely flowers and Welsh cakes on arrival were a lovely touch, even a large dog biscuit for Logan. Thanks to Matt and his family for allowing us to stay, hopefully we will be able to stay again when the weather is kinder.
