The property

Dating back over 200 years, Castell Criws is believed to be one of the oldest cottages in Harlech.

This delightful semi-detached stone cottage enjoys a quiet location in an elevated position, down one of the oldest hills, known as Y Llech in the town of Harlech.

Full of character, this cottage is an ideal base and rustic retreat that is perfect for a couple seeking a romantic getaway.

The sitting room, with exposed beams offers comfortable seating, and with the warm and welcoming woodburning stove provides the perfect place to curl up together, relax and watch a favourite film, especially in the cooler months.

A well-equipped kitchen caters for all your needs, and the dining area comfortably seats four, ideal if friends decide to pop in for something to eat!

Upstairs the double bedroom with en-suite shower room enjoys a pleasant outlook towards the castle.

Outside, to the side of the cottage, accessed via 15 steps is an elevated patio seating area which is a lovely place to return to after a day’s exploring, enjoy the tranquillity and wonderful views which stretch towards the Snowdonia mountain range, all under the watchful eye of the castle.

Watch the sun go down, where no two sunsets are the same, what a perfect end to the day.

Walks are in abundance from this delightful cottage and a visit to the Harlech Castle and visitors’ centre is a must.

The High Street is just a short walk uphill where you will find a good selection of independent shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants.

Magnificent sandy beaches and sand dunes are within easy reach and just over a mile away is the famous Royal St. David's Golf Club, one of the finest links courses, while the whole of the Snowdonia National Park is just waiting to be explored.
