Love this cottage stayed 4 times now and have now booked again for next year Garden is nice now that it has had a makeover and is more accessible now Did have a problem with a tap failure but the owner was easy to get hold of and was clearly embarrassed by it was quick to get a plumber out to repair the tap not that they should of been embarrassed wear and tear happens Anyone staying here will love it and the area

Lovely and warm. Only slight concern was that the towel rail was extremely hot. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Was well equipped for our new years stay. Lovely welcome pack too! Very clear instructions as to location and parking. Only 1 tiny thing the can opener doesn't work very well but everything else is fabulous!

  • "A lovely, cosy and well equipped cottage."

The listing is very clear. There is a short, level stroll to the local shops, cafés and the castle. Footpaths start within a few yards of the front door - perfect for walking down to the beach and pubs. The walk back up justifies a trip to the delis, chocolatier and ice cream shops at the top! Really well located to extremely the area. Owner very responsive to even the smallest issue.

Perfect size for two. Good location, comfy bed and sofa, great fire and kitchen facilities! Harlech is a great little village and gives you a peaceful base for Snowdonia as a whole. Would recommend to anyone.

  • "A cute and spacious cottage for two, in a an amazing location with the most stunning views."

Sadly massively under equipped. No baking trays, just one loo roll, one bin liner etc. The shower is either super hot or super cold and quite poor pressure wise. Sofa in lounge also quite uncomfortable. The garden is completely unacceptable for most people, a number.of the larger steps are loose and wobbly and the whole area is in need of some decent renovation.

Thank you for your feedback, I can confirm that the shower has now been replace and the garden area has been re done over the winter months. Kind regards Property Owner

  • "Delfod Cottage!"

Such a lovely place to stay. Spent a week here and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The house is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. We had everything we needed. Clean and tidy and the lady left a file with useful information in on how to work everything should you need it. Situated in a fabulous location just a 5 minute walk to Harlech Castle (highly recommend) And about 20 minutes walk to the beach (there is a car park nearby that is reasonable for the day). There is so much to do around the area and many attractions to drive to. Port Merrion only a 15 min drive. We explored 5 castles and much more during our week. The only thing to mention is that a couple of the slate steps leading up to the garden are a little loose and wobbly, so need to take care. But we thoroughly enjoyed eating breakfast with a pot of tea on the bench every morning, taking in the gorgeous views. I would highly recommend this cottage to family and friends. And would definitely like to return in the future. Thank you for a lovely break in your beautiful cottage

  • "A lovely cosy cottage with all we needed for a relaxing comfortable stay."

In a great location on outskirts of Harlech village. Although it’s a roadside property we hardly noticed traffic when inside the cottage, it wasn’t that busy when we stayed. Currently the garden area consists of tiered terraces with seating to enjoy the lovely views, however, at the time of our visit, the owner was in the process of revamping a further area above and when completed will be a great addition, especially if it’s grassed. The owner kindly allows dogs in the property and when in the garden area it’s necessary to keep them on leads as they could escape if not.

Think this area does need attention. Cottage was very comfortable and a home away from home.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Delfod cottage."

The cottage was fully equipped for our weeks stay so we never missed anything from home . It’s full of charm & character and although set close to what was sometimes a busy road on the way to the village it was peaceful and relaxing. The upper patio areas offer fantastic views as well as a good bbq area . Very easy to find , located on the outskirts of Harlech but a 5 min walk brings you into the village centre. The village was very friendly with an excellent chippy & Chinese restaurant although was only serving a take away service due to local Covid restrictions. Highly recommend this cottage and this area of Wales plenty to see & do . A beautiful dog friendly over 4 miles long with soft golden sand backed with sand dunes was only minutes away . Can’t wait to go back

  • "The cottage was really lovely and very warm."

The kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of space in the fridge and freezer. The view from the terrace was lovely, and although it would have been nice for there to be some grass for the dogs, you could still let them out and with the beach only 10 minutes away it was ok. Going up and down the hill was a bit challenging but it was doable! Would definitely stay again.

  • "Delfod is a lovely clean and comfortable cottage on the edge of the small town of Harlech."

Easy walking distance of the local shops and the Castle. We were a little unfortunate with the weather and as the owner points out it is necessary to be aware of the terraced garden steps becoming slippery when wet. When the weather is good the garden is a joy to sit in and take in the views. A welcome tray of tea and Welsh cakes greeted us on our arrival which is a thoughtful touch. I would definitely recommend Delfod as a place to stay, it is within easy reach of several places of interest if you wish to explore or is a home frome home for those wanting to kick back and relax.

  • "It is a lovely cottage in an excellent location; very comfortable and warm and I definitely would love to go back in the summer months."

The only downside would be the shower as it is not the most powerful or warm but that is worth putting up with as the cottage and area makes up for that! The garden is very rugged and not enclosed at the moment so beware if you take your dogs as we did.
