  • "We had a really relaxing time now we know Hedd means “peace” it makes sense."

The cottage is really well prepared for 2 people, ample cooking and eating equipment! The bedroom is spacious and well decorated. The shower is compact but is the best use of space you could do. there are ample warnings about access as the stairs are narrow ans is the entry and steps to the kitchen diner. we could not fault it at all, we would recommend Hedd and will likely go again! The owner is just right, gets you in makes sure you are ok and then lets you get on with it! The steep hill is the best bit as it is the much disputed steepest hill. You will not be disappointed!

  • "Hedd is a beautiful cottage inside and out, in a stunning location."

The interior is tastefully decorated and furnished with everything we needed for a wonderful, comfortable, peaceful holiday. It was spotlessly clean. The towels and robes provided were snow white and super soft, as was the Sumptuous bed linen. The huge bed was so comfortable, it made for a lovely refreshing night's sleep. All the provisions for cooking were great quality. The terraced garden is perfect for enjoying stunning views, with Harlech Castle at one side and mountains at the other. We enjoyed sitting out early in a morning and late in the evening for star gazing. There are many places to explore for a day out, including Harlech Castle. The owners are lovely and very welcoming, we never needed to call them, as everything was perfect but it was very reassuring to know they would be there if we had.

  • "We had a fabulous time in this wonderful cottage."

The owner, John came and introduced himself, and checked that all was as expected. The cottage is on a very steep hill, we were told it’s the second steepest hill in the world for cars, we had some amazing views and Harlech castle was almost on our doorstep. The Harlech Grocery store, just a short walk from the cottage was a great find with a great selection of food and wine. We will hopefully be visiting again soon for a little longer next time

  • "Our stay at Hedd cottage was gorgeous everything about the cottage was outstanding, the cleanliness was 1st class."

Quality of bedding superb along with everything else in the cottage. The little extras like eggs, bread, milk and even dressing gowns and slippers really appreciated. The location although at the top of very steep hill gave us the most beautiful views overlooking Harlech castle and Snowdonia with the train station and lovely Harlech beach at the bottom. Local restaurants serving top quality food were a stroll away what more could you ask. Contact with owner John was great who even made the effort to come and introduce himself. Would certainly recommend to anyone wanting a beautiful stay in Harlech.
