  • "Very clean and comfortable with plenty of equipment."

It was great having the green at the back for the dog. Must be gorgeous in the warmer months with the french doors at the back. Good location, iconic Harlech Castle and beach in walking distance. Good base for visiting other resorts too.

  • "Excellent location , comfortable and clean."

The fridge/freezer was too small though and a family of 4 would be disappointed.

  • "We had two problems with our stay at Llygad y Dydd."

Firstly, I have a feather allergy and unfortunately the duvet and pillows were all feather so I struggled with my breathing. Secondly, apart from the bedrooms there are no curtains or blinds in the property, which seriously compromises the residents privacy. The lounge does have very lightweight curtains, a bit heavier than nets, but which afford no privacy at all once the lights are turned on in the evening.

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry that the stay did not meet your expectations. If you have any allergies which may impact your stay we would recommend checking with us before booking. The linen curtains in the bedroom now has blackout backings. Property Owner

  • "Lovely modern & cosy property conveniently located for the railway station, beach and convenience shop."

The property does need blinds and/or curtains as guests privacy is compromised. This comment was left by several guests in the properties Guest Book. Fresh milk & Welsh cakes were a lovely welcome gift and really appreciated.

The little touches such as the games cupboard and the welsh cakes ( delicious) and provisions such as tea, coffee, etc all much appreciated. The walk to the beach is very convenient and view of the castle is a treat. Overall really enjoyable stay even blessed with sunshine! Thank you

  • "We have just returned home from our holiday at Llygad y Dydd and we had such a great time!"

We arrived to a lovely welcome pack and lots of information about the surrounding area. The house itself was very modern, cosy, warm and clean. Although the weather was quite wet for much of the week, we still had plenty to do locally. There is a great leisure centre 5 minutes walk away which has a swimming pool and climbing centre - our sons especially enjoyed the inflatables which were good fun! We also went over to zip world and enjoyed the trampoline in a cave (!?!) one rainy afternoon. On the drier days we went to the local beach (which is picture pedfect), Barmouth, Port Merion and Harlech Castle which are all close by and well worth a visit. Having a young family, we ate in on number of days and it was like a home from home with all the thoughtful little extras thrown that make all the difference. 1,000 jigsaws and load of games - check, Smart TV with netflix - check, hot power shower - check, well stocked cupboards with all the staples - check, REALLY comfy beds and pillows - check, top class pub and restaurant (-Y-Branwen) with friendly staff within 10 minutes walk - check. You can clearly see that Nia (the owner) has thought really hard about the whole experience and put alot of effort into this apartment! In short, we will definitely be coming again and regardless of the weather, you will have a really enjoyable and relaxing holiday there. Thanks again Nia!!!! P.S. We are going to get a hanging spider plant in our bathroom just like yours!

Everything we needed and more. Clean, comfy, warm, close to the beach and shops, beautiful walks and amazing view of Harlech Castle. Will definitely be back one day. Thank you!

  • "The owner had obviously put in a lot of thought in supplying everything needed for a good comfortable holiday in Llygad y Dydd."

The beds were SO comfortable & it was a luxury for us to have a bath as well as a shower. Kitchen well equipped, not short of anything. In all a perfect short break. The only drawback if it can be called that was that the upstairs neighbour walked past several times on the evening we arrived & looked in each time. We closed the curtain in the end. We would be happy to stay at this property again. .
