The village of Dyffryn Ardudwy is a mile down the road where there are two further pubs, cafes, a garage, shop and local butchers.
Barmouth is only five miles away, with its quaint shops, quayside restaurants and Blue Flag beach making a great day out for everyone and just a short drive away, in the other direction you can explore Harlech with its majestic 13th-century castle, now a World Heritage Site, or enjoy a round or two at Royal St. David's golf course.
A little further afield are the full delights of the Snowdonia National Park, with picturesque walks, lakes and waterfalls for walkers to enjoy.
