  • "Lovely cosy little cabin in a beautiful spot, so peaceful to sit out and listen to the birdsong."

Had to be a bit creative with the available cooking facilities but it was great to have the BBQ outside. Lots of scenic and interesting places to explore in the area and wonderfully quiet lanes for cycling.

About the location

Oswestry 6.9 miles; Shrewsbury 12.5 miles.

The small village of Kinnerley rests in the unspoilt Shropshire countryside, nestled between the villages of Dovaston and Pentre, with the nearest town being Oswestry. Many years ago, village was a stop on the now defunct Shropshire and Montgomery Railway, that ran from 1866 to 1960, whilst today it is mainly a residential village with a primary school, a church and a well-stocked shop that has fresh bread twice a week. Around the village are numerous walking and cycling routes which scale through the picturesque countryside. Seven miles away is the market town of Oswestry, boasting a range of restaurants, pubs and independent shops, whilst further afield lies the popular Shrewsbury and Telford.
